Attorney Adelman has been representing clients in divorce, workers' compensation and personal injury matters for over a quarter of a century. His extensive trial practice and persistence is widely recognized by members of the bar. He is an accomplished trial attorney, licensed to practice in both state and federal courts. Attorney Adelman is a member of the American Trial Lawyer's Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the New Haven Bar Association and is a Life Fellow in the Connecticut Bar Foundation James W. Cooper Fellows Program, The Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the The American Trial Lawyers Association. He serves as a Special Master for the New Haven and Middletown Family Court and the Statewide Trial custody Docket located in Middletown. When he is not practicing law, he has served as a member on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of New Haven for over ten (10) years and has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of New Haven for five (5) consecutive years. Attorney Adelman has also served on the Statewide Grievance Panel and provided pro-bono work to clients for New Haven Legal Assistance. He currently serves as Vice-Chair to the Branford Democratic Town Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Dining Room. In 1982, a young Alia Adhal moved with her family from Pittsburgh, PA to Panama City. Graduating with the Mosley class of 1989, Alia went on to Gulf Coast and Florida State University, attaining a bachelors of Science degree. Alia continued her pursuit of education at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2000. Since then, Alia has diligently worked in the field of law. She has 12 years of trial experience, concentrating on Family Law and Immigration Law.
