Jacob Born is a partner who focuses his practice in the areas of catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation. He represents clients and their families in nursing home, trucking, industrial worksite, and complex injury litigation cases. Jacob has devoted much of his professional career to finding answers to complex legal issues. The most rewarding part of Jacob’s practice is securing meaningful results for his clients when he is up against large corporations, nationwide trucking companies, and multi-national businesses. Jacob grew up in northeast Columbia. He is a 2001 graduate of Ridge View High School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology. Jacob continued his professional career by attending the Charleston School of Law. He graduated in 2011. Jacob is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of South Carolina and Georgia. He is a contributing member of the American Association of Justice, South Carolina Association for Justice, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Jacob is an active member of the American Association of Justice’s nursing home, trucking, and motor-liability litigation groups. Kenneth Bornstein lives on Long Island with his wife and two sons. He was born and raised in the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Administration from St. John’s University and his Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law. After law school, Mr. Bornstein joined the Legal Aid Society in Queens, handling a variety of cases from inception to disposition. Mr. Bornstein's work with the Legal Aid Society provided courtroom experience that would be valuable later in his career. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association and St. John's University School of Law Alumni Association. He is also a mentor with the Nassau County Bar Association Mentor Program and a volunteer with the We Care Fund of Nassau County. He has volunteered in community organizations, as Director and Secretary of the Merrick-North Merrick Little League, and, Vice-President of the Merrick Lion’s Club.

Mr. Borroto is a partner and heads the firm’s Medical Negligence Division. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Mr. Borroto graduated from the University of Miami in 1983 with Bachelors degrees in Chemistry and Biology. Subsequently, he attended and graduated from medical school at the Universidad Technologica de Santiago with his M.D. degree. With this medical degree, Mr. Borroto is uniquely qualified to handle medical malpractice claims. After completing medical school, Mr. Borroto returned to Miami where he worked for a local physician malpractice insurance company assisting in the defense of medical malpractice claims. He became a licensed adjuster in the State of Florida. Intrigued by the medical-legal field, he decided to study law at St. Thomas University where he attained his J.D. degree with honors in 1990. Mr. Borroto’s legal career has included both the defense of healthcare professionals as well as representing clients in lawsuits against these individuals. He is one of the few attorneys that have actual experience on both sides of the fence as well as holding both an M.D. and J.D. degree. This makes him uniquely qualified to handle the complex issues that arise in medical malpractice cases. During his years practicing as a plaintiff’s attorney, he has recovered over $60 million for his clients.
