Jeffrey is one of the founding members of Stempel, Catterson, LoFrumento, Carlson, Biondo, LLP. He commenced his legal career in 1998 specializing in all aspects of matrimonial and family law litigation, including, but not limited to: divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, complex business valuations, modification and enforcement issues, and the negotiation and preparation of pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, and stipulations of settlements. Jeffrey has represented, and assisted in the representation of, numerous high profile and celebrity clients. He has extensive experience with respect to complex business valuations involving multi-million dollar wage earners and business owners. Jeffrey’s matrimonial and valuation articles have been published in the New York State Bar’s Family Law Review, The Suffolk Lawyer and The Nassau Attorney. He has also lectured for the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association and Suffolk County Bar Association on numerous occasions. Jeffrey’s other areas of practice include personal injury, commercial litigation, general litigation and appellate practice. His personal injury experience involves complex litigation and appellate practice regarding traumatic brain injury, automobile accidents, construction site accidents, municipal liability and slip and fall accidents. Jeffrey has successfully argued before the New York State Appellate Divisions as well as New York State’s highest Court, the Court of Appeals. Jeffrey has been selected to the New York Super Lawyers, voted a Top Attorney in New York by his peers, every year since 2013 and selected as a Top Ten Nationally Ranked Family Law Attorney by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys since 2014. Jeffrey is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association, as well as the Matrimonial Law Committee of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations, serving as the Co-Vice Chair on the Executive Committee for the Nassau County Matrimonial Committee.

Attorney Jessica B. Cha is a State Bar of California Certified sigma essay Family Law Specialist and is licensed to practice law in California, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Jessica is a passionate litigator, vigorously representing her clients on matters of divorce, child custody/visitation, child support, spousal support and division of assets/debts. Having gone through the divorce process herself, Jessica has a unique sensitivity to what her clients are going through. Jessica’s family law practice also includes representing clients whose children were abducted to and from the United States and another count by their spouse or partner. She has an intimate knowledge of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and has even traveled abroad to advocate in front of foreign judiciaries and officials.

Family law has always stood out to Cloie Chapman as an important area of the law because it requires compassion and a greater understanding of systemic issues such as race, gender, and relationships. Cloie has always been passionate about addressing social issues and family law is a great opportunity for her to connect with clients and advocate for them. This passion first developed when Cloie worked for Planned Parenthood in high school as a sexual health educator and learned about healthy relationship building. She earned her BA from Western Washington University, creating her own interdisciplinary major in environmental policy and ethnic studies. Cloie continued to work for non-profit organizations throughout college and law school, including Disability Rights Washington and ACLU of Washington. Each of these experiences has deepened her empathy for others and allowed her to understand how systemic issues relate to personal conflicts. After graduating from Seattle University School of Law, Cloie Chapman was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2020. She then started her own firm and represented clients in Seattle on issues including protection orders and contracts. She also supported criminal defense attorneys representing Black Lives Matter protestors. In 2021 Cloie clerked for Washington State Supreme Court Justice Mary I. Yu and stayed at the court for another few months to work as a staff attorney in the Commissioner’s Office. During her time at the court Cloie was able to sharpen her research skills by diving into a variety of legal topics. Cloie grew up in Issaquah, Washington and has lived in Seattle, Bellingham, and Olympia. She now lives in Lynnwood with her husband and three cats. Cloie spends her free time listening to podcasts, playing video games, and thinking of new home renovation projects.

Melissa Muirhead Charpentier has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut, a Master's degree in Counseling from Springfield College and her J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. Attorney Charpentier has practiced family law since 2004. She has been with the Mester Law Group, LLC for over 19 years and her practice is primarily limited to divorce and custody. Prior to attending law school, she was employed as a social worker at Catholic Charities for more than ten years. She supervised adoption services for the Archdiocese of Hartford while attending law school. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar and the Hartford County bar association. Attorney Charpentier is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the Connecticut and Hartford County bar associations. She accepts Guardian ad Litem appointments in criminal and family matters and completed the GAL/AMC training held by the CT Commission on Child Protection. Attorney Charpentier is also trained in mediation and collaborative divorce. She is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Lawyer Association of Greater Hartford. Attorney Charpentier resides in Portland with her husband and two sons. She currently involved with the Portland High School Side Liners, Project Graduation and is on the Stewardship board of the First Congregational Church of Portland. Attorney Charpentier is dedicated to fundraising for the National Kidney Foundation.

Brittany is a Lake Charles, LA native, where she graduated from LaGrange Senior High School in 2006. She then obtained her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts in 2009 from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. Brittany continued her education in Baton Rouge, LA, where she studied at Southern University Law Center. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2012 and became a licensed attorney in the state of Louisiana in October of 2012. With a heart for her community, Brittany moved back to her hometown where she became a law clerk at the Fourteenth Judicial District Court from 2012-2014. After her clerkship, Brittany became an Assistant District Attorney for Calcasieu Parish in March 2014. During her five-year tenure, Brittany worked in the following divisions: misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony, prosecuting major cases such as felony thefts, drug cases, burglaries, and homicides. It is Brittany’s desire to be a helping hand to her community, and her life motto is to enable others to reach their full potential even if it means being their voice. Since childhood, she has been a devoted member of United Christian Fellowship Church. Her heart beats for youth, which she attributes to her parents, who are both active in the local community. As a true family woman, her goal is to treat her clients as if they were own family. Brittany is the proud wife of Bryant Chavis Sr. also a native of Lake Charles, LA. The two recently welcomed their first child into the world, Bryant Jr., in June 2019. Brittany is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, leaders in being of service to all mankind. In her local chapter, she is dedicated to community service projects and promoting education to youth.
