Area of Practice: Elder Abuse Lesley has been featured in Time magazine, People, Frontline, New York Times, the National Law Journal, The SacBee, and The Sacramento Business Journal for her groundbreaking work in the field of elder abuse. A 1988 graduate of the San Diego School of Law, Lesley was thrust into elder abuse law when her great-aunt was abused and neglected at a residential care facility. Lesley successfully tried the case and got the facility’s license revoked. Since that time, her practice has focused exclusively on representing victims of abuse and neglect in institutional settings. Lesley believes that by holding corporations accountable to their promises to care for the vulnerable and provide competent, humane care, we can improve care for everyone. Lesley is the past chair of the American Association for Justice Nursing Home Litigation Group and has long been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell’s American Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. Lesley strongly believes in passing along the knowledge she has gained through her years as an advocate and educator. She teaches classes and seminars around the country and mentors young attorneys so they will be able to continue the important work of protecting our elders.
