Joseph Kibre is a 1975 Order of the Coif graduate of the UCLA School of Law. He received his B.A. Degree from UC Berkeley with distinction in general scholarship and an honors program in political science with distinction. Joe was an NDEA Graduate Fellow at UCLA, where he received M.A. and C.Phil. Degrees in European and American history before attending law school. Joe began the private practice of law in Los Angeles in 1975. He is a member of the bars of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. Since 1985, Joe’s practice has been devoted to family law, and entertainment and business litigation. Joe has handled complex and high profile cases, including the successful defense of prominent family law attorney Marvin Mitchelson against a civil rape action brought by one of his former clients and made public on CBS’ 60 Minutes, Sondra Locke’s action against Clint Eastwood for “palimony” and infliction of emotional distress, and an action brought by Mohamed Al Fayed against fraudsters who attempted to sell him forged government documents concerning the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed. Joe has handled hundreds of family law cases, including matters for actors, directors, producers and other prominent people, including Sandra Bullock, Dick Wolf (Law & Order), Joss Whedon (Avengers, Buffy) Bruce Helford (Drew Carey, George Lopez), former California State Controller Kathleen Connell, pianist/composer George Winston, actors Pat Morita and Julie Brown, and the spouses of Joe Eszterhas, James Brolin, Christopher Lloyd, and Ronald Meyer (one of the founders of Creative Artists Agency), among others. (All of the foregoing were cases filed in courts as a matter of public record; the names of clients in matters in which there was no such public filing, including numerous premarital agreements, are not listed in order to protect their privacy.) Joe has also handled sophisticated and often high-profile business litigation matters for Sony Music and such “mini-major” independent motion picture production companies as Carolco Pictures Inc., Cinergi Pictures Inc., C-2 Pictures LLC, New Regency Productions, Inc. and Hyde Park Entertainment, including litigation on major motion pictures such as L.A. Confidential, Terminator 2, Rambo 3, Evita and others. Joe has also handled numerous appeals, including one resulting in a published opinion reversing a trial court, Lefton v. Kessler, 141 Cal. App. 3d 94; 190 Cal. Rptr. 109 (1983). He is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell.

With more than 40 years of experience, Ms. Kitson understands the financial and emotional strain of divorce and other domestic issues. She helps her clients develop realistic goals and develops creative solutions to resolve their domestic disputes. An experienced litigator, Ms. Kitson is also an accomplished negotiator who works effectively with clients, the courts and other attorneys to achieve settlement. She frequently recommends the collaborative process to obtain these results. In acknowledgement of her accomplishments, Patricia was recognized by Super Lawyers for over ten consecutive years and has been chosen as a Top 25 attorney in Westchester County in 2105 and 2016 by Super Lawyers, she has received recognition in the New York Law Journal and New York magazine included Ms. Kitson on their list of “legal leaders” in 2014 and 2015. The National Advocates named her a “top 100 lawyer” in 2015 and the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys presented her with the Client Satasfaction Award that same year. She has been repeatedly presented with the Client Choice Award and has received Congressional recognition from the Westchester Office of the County Executive and local communities for her public service activities. Lori L. Klockau received a B.S. in 1980, M.A. in 1982 and a J.D. in 1991 from the University of Iowa. She worked as a prosecuting intern at the Johnson County Attorney’s Office from 1990 to 1991. She began practicing family and adoption law in 1991. Lori’s areas of practice include adoption, divorce, domestic issues of unmarried and same-sex couples. She also does surrogate and gestational carrier cases and contracts. Lori is an active member of the Iowa State Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Johnson County Bar Association. Lori is a past President of the Johnson County Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Bar Endowment. Lori is currently on the Board of Governor’s for the Iowa State Bar Association. She has been appointed to serve on the Iowa Supreme Court Task Force to Review Procedures in Domestic Relation Cases. Lori is a fellow of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys and a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. Lori is a past counsel member for the Iowa State Bar Association Family and Juvenile Law Section. Her service also includes being the Chair of the Adoption Subcommittee of the ISBA Family and Juvenile Law Section. She is a Life Member of Girl Scouts of America and has volunteered at Camp Nauvoo for over thirty years. She is a founder of Concerned Citizens of Sand Prairie Preservation which helped create a new 80 acre nature park in Iowa City. Lori is a frequent speaker on a variety of family law topics including adoption, divorce, and child custody.
