Area of Practice: Government Affairs Marcos D. Vigil is an experienced government executive and legal professional with a demonstrated history in administration, operations, reform, policy making, legal analysis, risk management, and economic development. Prior to joining CLG, Marcos served as Jersey City’s Deputy Mayor and Director of Housing, Economic Development and Commerce overseeing economic development and real estate, and developing strategies for sustainable development and affordable housing. He also served as Commissioner at the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority, and represented the City on the Legislative Committee of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities and as Trustee of the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority. Prior to that role, Marcos served four years as Deputy Secretary of State for New York in Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration, leading and managing the operations for its Divisions of Consumer Protection, Licensing Services, Corporations, Cemeteries and the NYS Athletic Commission. Before joining public service, Marcos practiced commercial and employment law in several New York City law firms. Marcos also served as a Board Member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, and as Deputy General Counsel for the National Hispanic Bar Association. Marcos and his family recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and he divides his time between the West and East Coasts.

Peter Villari, an equity partner and senior trial counsel at Villari, Brandes & Giannone, P.C., graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before earning his law degree from Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. While at Dickinson, Peter actively participated in the trial moot court and was undefeated during his time in the program. Peter also clerked for a Pennsylvania state senator while in law school. Upon graduation from law school, Peter immediately began litigating cases on behalf of injured victims and commercial clients. Raised in a family business within a competitive industry, Peter developed and maintains a strong understanding of the complex needs and rights of businesses both big and small, as well as of their employees. Eventually, Peter dedicated his career to representing victims of personal injury caused by motor vehicle collisions, trucking accidents, defective products, premises defects and medical malpractice, but he still litigates complex commercial matters when requested. Peter's practice has focused on the representation of children who have suffered injury as a result of preventable birth trauma. Peter has successfully litigated and tried cases in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania, and has been involved in numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements.
