Wes Straw has been trying civil cases for over ten years. He has been trial counsel in numerous catastrophic bodily injury cases resulting in jury verdicts exceeding $30,000,000 since commencing practice as a personal injury attorney in Tampa Bay and Saint Petersburg, Florida. Wes obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Tampa. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law after attending both Florida Coastal School of Law and Stetson Law School. While in law school, Wes served on the law review, mock trial team and served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Duval County State Attorneys Office. He was certified by the Supreme Court of Florida to handle civil cases for the Duval County State Attorneys Office, and obtained favorable verdicts for the office in all cases that he tried to verdict.

When he was growing up, attorney Billy Strickland, heard this statement quite often from people who were taking advantage of him or his family, “Sue me.” He grew up on the other side of the tracks, and what these people understood was that he could not afford to retain an attorney. Because of that, they knew they could take advantage of him or his family. He decided at a young age that if he could not afford an attorney he would become an attorney.
