Family law attorney, mediator, child representative and parenting coordinator Jacki Torshen, JD, is a zealous advocate for clients. During the past 22 years, she has handled hundreds of successful complex financial and contested custody divorces for a variety of individuals. After establishing a stellar track record at several of Chicago’s top matrimonial law firms, Jacki started the Torshen Law Group in 2013 to broaden her focus to include child representation and parenting coordination services. This divorced mother of two brings a uniquely personal perspective to the dissolution of a marriage. Approachable and pragmatic, Jacki understands and respects the needs of clients and their families during difficult times, working diligently to protect their well-being and deliver family-focused resolutions. She is certified by the Professional Academy of Custody Experts as a parenting coordinator. Jacki has received numerous professional accolades in recognition of her strong ethics, commitment to maintaining the integrity of families, legal acumen, exceptional track record and purposeful, compassionate approach. A member of the Illinois State Bar Association, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and her law degree from the Chicago Kent College of Law in 1998. Previously, she served on the Alumni Board for the Latin School of Chicago and was the co-chair of the Young alumni Board, and volunteers her time at the Chicago City Day School and the Lilac Tree Foundation.
