James J. Flick is an attorney, chartered life underwriter, chartered financial consultant, and former certified public accountant, with a law practice concentrating in the areas of estate planning and asset protection planning, compensation planning, and tax and business planning for physicians, business owners, professionals, and high net worth individuals. Prior to opening his law practice in 1993, Mr. Flick worked as a certified public accountant for twelve years. For eight of these years he worked as a tax specialist with “Big Six” international accounting firms. The remaining four years, he operated his own accounting firm specializing in tax and business planning for privately owned businesses. Mr. Flick uses his unique educational and professional background to provide his clients with complete planning that considers the overall financial and tax impact of issues, in addition to focusing on the legal aspect of those issues and their resolution. Also, his training in accounting, insurance, and financial planning enables him to more effectively communicate with clients and their professional advisors.

Alina began working for Thelen & Associates, LLC while still in college at Marquette University and throughout law school at Marquette Law School. Her five years of experience as a law clerk/paralegal prepared her for her flourishing law practice. Alina practices in Southeastern Wisconsin handling CHIPS proceedings, minor guardianships, termination of parental rights cases, adoption, and all family law matters, including divorce, child support, custody, placement and visitation. She also handles cases involving alimony (maintenance), and property division. Alina lives in Waukesha County with her husband, daughter, and two cats. She is an avid fan of the Packers, the Brewers and the Bucks. She comes from a large family and spends her free time with her family, cooking or reading a really good suspense novel.
