Erin Evans is a founding partner of Evans Garrey. She received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2007 and lived in Phoenix before moving to Flagstaff where she has lived and worked for the past ten years. She focuses on representing plaintiffs in wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury cases. Before becoming an attorney, Erin was a teacher, and she draws on her educational background to develop persuasive legal arguments throughout trials, mediations, and negotiations. Erin frequently takes on cases pro bono and has been honored as one of the Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona. In addition to this, she has served as the president of the Coconino County Bar Association and is an active member of several committees and task forces in the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (“TIPS”) section of the American Bar Association (ABA), including the Outreach to Young Lawyers Committee, Litigation Committee, Solo and Small Firm Task Force and Women Trial Lawyer’s Committee. Outside of the office, Erin’s two young children keep her busy, as she enjoys spending time with them, her husband, and their dogs. A world traveler, Erin, and her family search for adventure and good food. She enjoys skiing and having snowball fights with her family.

Area of Practice: Lobbying Gerard E. Evans has been one of Annapolis’ top lobbyists for the past twenty-five years. Over the years, he has represented a wide range of clients and interests before the Maryland General Assembly including the Washington Redskins, the Baltimore Orioles, Constellation Energy, Verizon Communications, Glaxo, Medical Mutual, the Maryland Hospital Association, the State Medical Society, Penn National Gaming, the Fraternal Order of Police and Professional Fire Fighters, the Law Offices of Peter G. Angelos, and the Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association, as well as the Maryland Asphalt Association.

Taryn grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. After attending the Air Force Academy and playing division one soccer, she attended the University of Utah and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She began her legal career as a legal assistant while finishing her undergraduate degree, working mostly on criminal law, family law, and miscellaneous civil litigation matters. After gaining knowledge and encouragement from her mentors, she attended the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law. She graduated from law school in 2013, earning her Juris Doctorate with highest honors. Taryn began one of Utah’s former larger and oldest law firms, Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, as a law clerk during the summer before her last year of law school. Taryn continued to work as a law clerk at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough during her third year of law school. Following her graduation from law school, Taryn was hired by Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough as an associate attorney. After working as an associate attorney at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough for approximately 7 years, she was promoted and became a shareholder. Many attorneys at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough mentored Taryn in her first decade of practicing law. Taryn stayed at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough until April 2022. For the remainder of 2022, Taryn worked as a lawyer at a small family law firm. In late December 2022 to early January 2023, Taryn was excited to announce her decision to open her current law firm Adair Evans with her partner, Douglas Adair. From the start of her legal career, Taryn has always worked on family law related matters. Initially, while at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, Taryn did split her litigation time between general commercial litigation matters and family law. Taryn now devotes nearly all of her time and practice to family law—her chosen field and practice which she is passionate about. Seymour “Sy” Everett, III is a founding partner of Everett Dorey, LLP. Mr. Everett is a leading litigator in California and is routinely retained as trial counsel in complex and challenging cases throughout the state. He represents corporations, non-profits, cities, public agencies, special districts, school districts, police officers and individuals in all aspects of litigation. Cases include catastrophic injuries, asbestos, employment law, toxic tort, habitability, mold, general liability, wildland fires, business interference, libel, slander, environmental and administrative compliance. Mr. Everett is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”), a highly respected national advocacy group dedicated to the preservation of the right to trial by jury. He is also recognized as a "Super Lawyer", which is an exclusive list, recognizing no more than 5% of the attorneys in the state. Mr. Everett also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation and is a regular speaker at legal seminars for fortune 500 Companies, Public Entities and Insurance Carriers and is a former adjunct professor at USC School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all courts in California, including United States Federal District Courts.
