Brandi earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi College in 2004, a Master of Social Science from Mississippi College in 2006, and a Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2010. Brandi is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and has been admitted to practice before all Mississippi State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Brandi will continue to represent a wide variety of personal injury clients, including people injured in automobile wrecks, trucking collisions, wrongful death cases, defective products and liability claims, cases involving defective medical devices, Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income denials and appeals, Longshore and Workers’ Compensation injury claims, and Offshore, Maritime, and Jones Act claims. Brandi will continue representing appellants before the Mississippi Appellate Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Brandi is a member of the American Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, Supreme Court of the United States Bar, American Association for Justice, Mississippi Association for Justice, and Mississippi Women Lawyers Association. Brandi was selected to participate in the 2017 Mississippi Bar Leadership Forum. Participants of the Leadership Forum are selected from applicants that demonstrate the initiative necessary for the effective guidance of peers in the legal profession.

She hails from St. Petersburg, Florida, where she continued on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 1975. She is a 1978 graduate of Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mrs. Gathings has been involved in complex litigation, including business tort litigation, toxic, environmental, and pharmaceutical tort litigation, serious personal injury, consumer class actions, products liability, fraud, and international law. She is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association and the Birmingham Bar Association. Mrs. Gathings has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, various United States District Courts in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, as well as both the Alabama and Florida Supreme Courts. Mrs. Gathings has actively been a board member of The American Journal of Trial Advocacy Foundation. In addition, she plays an important role in mentor programs for Cumberland School of Law. She is a mentor for freshman law students, Women in Law and The American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Mrs. Gathings hosts several events throughout the year for law students helping to educate and influence young women law students in Alabama.
