Jason A. Advocate is the founder with more than 25 years of experience in complex matrimonial and commercial law. A native New Yorker who won’t back down, Jason is known for protecting his client’s privacy at all costs. His diverse background of complex commercial litigation provides a level of knowledge into corporate and financial matters that levels the playing field from the start in high net worth cases. Jason received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University where he graduated magna cum laude and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the prestigious New York University of Law. Mr. Advocate has extensive trial experience, but he tempers that with negotiation skills that attempt to keep his clients out of the court room. He is a certified mediator and knows how to settle cases, but when all else fails, he knows how to win a trial. Mr. Advocate is a member of the bar in New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He works to further legislation and issues among his peers through the Association of the Bar for the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association. Jason also shares his vast legal experience on cutting edge legal matters as a lecturer at numerous institutions.

Theodore Alatsas, Esq. was born the child of Greek immigrants in the early 1970s. Growing up in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, Theodore learned the importance of hard work and dedication to his community at an early age. As an exemplary student and community activist, Theodore often volunteered his time to help those who needed it. Theodore attended Brooklyn Technical High School, New York University and St. John? s University School of Law. During his early 20s, Theodore worked his way through college and law school, while at the same time actively participating and leading various civic organizations. Among these organizations are the Avenue U Merchants? Association, Citizens for Neighborhood Action, Change NY, and the Joint Council of Kings County Boards of Trade. Theodore?s community involvement was recognized in New York Newsday, the Bay News and various other community papers. After graduating law school, Theodore began the practice of law in the same location where his parents owned a Greek deli. Over the years, his areas of practice have become more specialized, focusing primarily on the practice of divorce & family law. His knowledge and experience as a neighborhood practitioner, has uniquely qualified him to handle a matter not only from a legal perspective, but with a compassion designed to guide the client through the process as smoothly and as stress-free as possible. Theodore remains active in his community, and has been nominated as a candidate for various public offices, including Brooklyn District Attorney and Brooklyn Borough President, and served as a member of the Public Service Commission Siting Board after having been appointed to the position by Governor Pataki. Theodore resides in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter. He is also fluent in Greek and Spanish.

Ms. Alexander grew up in Florence, Alabama. After high school graduation, she attended Bennett College in Greensboro, NC where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science. While at Bennett College, Ms. Alexander served as President of the Political Science Club, Vice President of the Student Government Association, and Resident Assistant. She was also a member of Pi Gamma Mu and Bennet Scholars Honor Societies. Ms. Alexander attended the University of Alabama School of Law where she served as Vice President of Public Interest Law Society and Editor of the law school newspaper. Ms. Alexander graduated from Alabama School of Law – Class of 2000. Ms. Alexander has had specialized training in Domestic Violence matters and Dispute Resolution. She is registered as a mediator on the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster for the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution.

His family practice includes everything from amicable mediated property-only divorces to complex litigated divorce and custody matters. His real estate practice concentrates on residential real estate closings. Our firm has relationships with a number of local real estate agents and lenders. Attorney Allen is licensed to practice in all Connecticut State and Federal courts. Attorney Allen has been recently selected by the New Haven Register for inclusion in their list of the Best in New Haven series. He has also been recognized by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, Inc. as one of the top 10 personal injury attorneys under age 40 in Connecticut.
