9191 R G Skinner Pkwy #703, Jacksonville, FL 32256, USA

Christie’s knowledge into the inner workings of DCF gives her an insight into dependency proceedings uncommon among family law attorneys. Christie Guerrero joined the law firm in 2012 after graduating top of her class and Magna Cum Laude from Florida Coastal School of Law. While at Florida Coastal, she was a member of the nationally ranked Moot Court team, a Law Review staff editor, and a member of the Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity. The pull that Christie experienced towards family law is unsurprising given her background experience. At the University of Florida, she focused her studies on family, youth, and community sciences. Her knowledge into the inner workings of DCF gives her an insight into dependency proceedings uncommon among family law attorneys. Christie also worked as a Guardian Ad Litem, a specially trained representative who serves the unique role of advocating for the children’s best interests in family law and dependency cases. She also clerked for a federal magistrate judge and interned at an appellate law firm, both excellent experiences enhancing her gift for legal writing, analysis, and advocacy. Christie has a love for children which shines through every representation and has influenced her personal choices as well. Christie and her husband are licensed foster parents and work closely with local agencies to help serve children who have come into the dependency system, which are some of the most vulnerable children involved in the entire court system. Christie is the proud mother of a sweet little girl whom she was fortunate enough to adopt after contested litigation ensued. Her personal experience in the legal system through the process of adopting her daughter makes her an unparalleled advocate for anyone going through the same process. Just a few short years after she began practicing law, Christie had the honor of receiving the Leader in the Law award from the Florida Association of Women Lawyers in 2015. Since then, she has been recognized as a Rising Star Super Lawyer for the last three consecutive years. Most recently she was was included in the “Top 10 Under 40” by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys in 2019. Scott Guido
Featured Lawyer
Personal Injury Law

6130 Elton Ave suite 103, Las Vegas, NV 89107, USA

Scott Guido was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and obtained his law degree from the State University New York at Buffalo, School of Law (SUNY Buffalo). His career spans over 20 years beginning with Infinity Insurance as a field claims adjuster in the fall of 2000. Scott and his future wife, Mary, moved to Las Vegas in 2003 where he took a position with American International Group (AIG) working as a Field Generalist. During this period Scott began to shift his focus from general claims handling to handling only personal injury claims and was eventually put in charge of the bodily injury unit in the Las Vegas claims office. The transition from a general claims handler to a unit manager was in large part due to the training he received from, Kerry, the Branch Manager. She was instrumental in his early success in the industry and they have remained lifelong friends. While working at AIG Scott also met his future boss while conducting a routine settlement conference call with a local personal injury attorney. What struck Scott the most about the call was the fact that although this gentleman was the owner of one of the most prestigious PI firms in the Valley, he never-the-less spoke with empathy for his client as they attempted to negotiate a settlement. He came across as someone who was genuinely grateful for his success. It only took the one call and that’s all for Scott to form an immediate bond with his future boss. So, Scott took the Nevada State Bar Exam and took a position as an associate attorney working for his new mentor in the summer of 2006. Scott spent the next 15 years working at this law firm settling thousands of personal injury cases. During this period he handled nearly every type of claim imaginable, and eventually became the Managing Attorney for the Nevada offices. Scott became an integral figure in the continued success of his mentor’s business. Scott will be forever grateful for the opportunity he was given because of that one phone call almost 15 years ago. Armed with over 20 years’ experience in the industry and 15 years working at one of the largest firms in the Valley, Scott decided it was time to forge a new path and founded Guido Injury Law. Scott has said “The mission of my firm is to make sure everyone my team represents has an understanding that they are not a number—they matter!” While Scott cannot guarantee any specific results, he pledges to treat you with the respect you deserve and provide you with compassionate, caring legal representation—regardless of the value your case.
