Bill was born in Nashville August 22, 1962, while his father, a Naval Officer at the time, taught Navy ROTC at Vanderbilt. Bill grew up in the south spending his childhood in New Orleans, Birmingham, and Dallas. After graduating from Jesuit High School in Dallas, Bill went to The Citadel in Charleston, SC where he received his BA and MA in Psychology. After graduation, Bill worked as a Management Intern with GEICO for three years where he learned the ins and outs of the auto insurance industry. After leaving GEICO in the late 80’s/early 90’s Bill worked as an adjuster/paralegal/legislative aid for State Representative Alvin Granoff and as a paralegal/negotiator for the infamous pioneer of TV advertising Attorney Joe Byrd. In 1993, Bill joined Attorney Brian Loncar at Loncar & Associates. In 1997 Bill attended law school at night graduating in 2000 from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.

JUAN L. ICAZA, was born in Cuba in 1965. He and his family came to America in 1971 and resided in New York City. He graduated from Seton Hall University and Seton Hall Law School. Mr. Icaza then joined the Newark firm of Bross, Strickland, Cary & Grossman as an associate and rose to become its managing partner at the age of 29. He and Robert R. Cary formed the firm of Cary & Icaza in 1996 and in 2009 renamed the firm to Icaza & Burgess maintaining a relationship with Robert Cary as office counsel. Mr. Icaza has been practicing law since 1990 specializing in personal injury cases involving medical malpractice, lead and toxic torts, automobile accidents and products liability.
