Carthenia W. Jefferson, RN, Esq. is an attorney, legal nurse consultant, medical chart reviewer and a speaker. Her educational background includes: a BSN from UAB School of Nursing, RN since 1985, JD from Birmingham School of Law and License to practice Law in the State of Alabama since 2004. She has spoken nationally and locally on topics such as: “Nursing and the Law”, “End of Life Issues”, “Breast Cancer Awareness”, “Domestic Violence”, and “The Affordable Care Act”. She received the 2010 Nurse Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the National Black Nurses Association and Outstanding New Member Award from the Alabama State Nurses Association. Carthenia received the 2013 Alabama State Nurses Association Leadership Award at the 100th Annual Alabama State Nurses Association Convention. In 2015, Carthenia was inducted as a Fellow into the American Bar Foundation. In 2016, Carthenia received the Lillian Holland Harvey Award from the Alabama State Nurses Association which is awarded to a member who has made significant contributions in one or more of the following areas: fostering transcultural relations, promoting the advancement of minority groups, and upgrading health care services to those who are culturally and economically under-served. Carthenia serves on several Boards which includes Alabama Lawyers Association, Birmingham Black Nurses Association, Inc., and Brenda’s Brown Bosom Buddies.

John Jeffrey has been the General Counsel and Secretary at ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers for the past 14 years. John has broad legal and business experience in the general business, technology and entertainment industries and has provided services to individuals, non-profits/trusts, and companies (from startups to Fortune 500 companies) as a deal-maker, litigator, corporate and intellectual property lawyer, and business executive. John has managed business functions relating to legal, strategic, corporate and business development, advertising, marketing, operations and public relations in various companies. Before joining ICANN, John spent four years at the Silicon Valley streaming media/Internet radio start-up Live365, where he was the Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and General Counsel. While at Live365, John managed strategic and corporate development, business development, marketing, public relations, and governmental, business & legal affairs. He was actively involved in helping to frame the issues and public discussion surrounding the US Copyright Offices' Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel (CARP) relating to Digital Sound Recording Performance Royalties for Webcasting and helped lead a grassroots effort that resulted in the passing of copyright legislation relating to webcasting royalties for small webcasters/internet radio. John also previously served as Director of Business and Legal Affairs and Senior Counsel of Legal Affairs at global entertainment company, Discovery Communications, Inc. (noted for the Discovery Channel, TLC, Travel Channel and others) where he negotiated television and technology deals for Discovery's content and distribution channels around the world. John began his in-house experience at News Corporation working on the business affairs and legal teams at Fox Television, during the launch of their cable television division and first websites. He was a member of the launch team for the cable channels FX and FXM: Movies from Fox. John started his legal career as a litigation attorney in Los Angeles defending businesses and professionals in United States' Federal Courts and California State Courts. He holds a political science degree from the University of Dayton, and a law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. John has been a member of the California, US Federal District Court (CD, CA), and US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals legal bar associations since 1988. John also managed his own media consulting business, Point Break Media.

Clay’s leadership of the successful response to America’s first Ebola outbreak was chronicled in Vanity Fair, the NYT, and Time Magazine. He has appeared as an authority on many nationally-broadcast news programs and networks, including ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Fox and Friends, MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show, CBS, NBC, and many others.

Dan Jenkins is a shareholder of Litster Frost Injury Lawyers. Dan grew up on a farm in Kuna, Idaho, and has always called the Treasure Valley his home. He graduated cum laude from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and received his Juris Doctorate at the University of Idaho, College of Law, with an emphasis in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, where he received Dean’s List recognition. Dan received the “Pro-bono Above and Beyond” Award for his dedication and service to pro-bono clients and cases through the General, Family Justice, and Mediation Clinics and served as a small claim’s mediator in Latah County. It was those trials, cases, class actions, and mediations that confirmed his desire to be a fierce advocate for victims. Prior to law school, Dan began working in personal injury law firms in Idaho and Utah as a Pre-Litigation Manager, Paralegal, Spanish Translator, Case Manager, and Negotiator.
