Cheryl L. Jakinovich is an associate at the firm who passionately represents clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including custody, child support, parenting time, spousal support, equitable distribution, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and modification proceedings. She counsels clients in all aspects of their proceedings while considering each client’s specific needs and the unique circumstances of each case. Cheryl works with clients to get to the heart of what is most important to them. While Cheryl utilizes her negotiation skills in every case to assist clients in avoiding prolonged litigation, she is prepared to vigorously litigate on behalf of clients when a settlement cannot be reached. ? Cheryl earned her B.A. from St. John’s University and her J.D. from New York Law School. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association. Cheryl has co-authored an article pertaining to appellate practice.

Ms. Keela Johnson is an equity shareholder in our Family Law group. Ms. Johnson concentrates her practice in all areas of domestic relations and matters that impact the family. She serves as a court appointed guardian ad litem and parenting time coordinator in complex parenting time and custody matters, often in the middle of a contentious divorce. She also handles guardianships and conservatorships for children and adults. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Johnson was a mental health therapist for more than seven years. This experience allows her to bring a different perspective to emotionally charged and high conflict cases. Ms. Johnson cares about her clients and their concerns about the legal process. She understands that divorce is a time of transition and strives to help her clients understand the process from beginning to end. Ms. Johnson is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Family Law Section and Adoption Law Sections; Oakland County Bar Association, where she served as Chair of the Family Court Committee; the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts; and the Michigan Inter-Professional Association on Marriage, Divorce and the Family, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Ms. Johnson received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Upper Iowa University, her M.S. from University of Wisconsin-Stout, and her J.D., cum laude, from Western Michigan Cooley Law School.

Lisa L. Johnson's practice for more than 25 years focused on mediation and litigation in the areas for high-asset divorce and complex property division; child custody, child support, alimony and prenuptial agreements, and modification of custody, alimony and property/separation agreements. Currently Miss Johnson serves as a Trial Commissioner for the Kentucky Bar Association appointed by the Kentucky Supreme Court to hear and decide cases brought by the Kentucky Bar Association against attorneys accused of ethical violations. This is a voluntary position. Miss Johnson is active at Christ Church Cathedral and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lexington. She earned both her B.A. and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky.
