Area of Practice: Accident, Bankruptcy, Custody Divorce, & Estate Law God seemed to lead Holly to the practice of law. She feels more fulfilled by helping clients as a lawyer than she can imagine in any other walk of life. She loved mathematics in high school, and majored in Computer Science in college, but she has always loved people. Her love of order was a good fit with her love of people and gives her a unique skill blend to help apply the law to find solutions to people’s problems. She gravitated to the kind of law that helps people when they are hurting: family law, bankruptcy law, accident cases, wrongful death mattes, and wills and trusts. Since she has three adopted children, she loves that area of law as well, of course. Family law gives Holly the opportunity to counsel people on her passion of becoming all they can be, learning to deal with new boundaries while healing old wounds and helping their children heal. Of course, having to “get tough” often comes with the territory, and helping someone take a stand against a bad situation is also rewarding. Faith is also important, since no outcomes are guaranteed, and being able to help others find peace in difficult situations is important to her. Bankruptcy has also been near and dear to Holly’s heart, because she knows the heartache of not being able to sleep due to worry about finances, a result of the almost crushing debts she had after law school. Again, she enjoys sharing her faith, as well as helping clients gain control and dignity back in their lives. Having been involved in accidents and having had her stepfather die due to someone else’s negligence, Holly knows how frustrating insurance companies can be. Accident and personal injury law allows her to help others through such difficult times. Trusts, wills, power of attorney, living wills, and more have become more and more important to protect her own family and she has seen first-hand how they can be a lifesaver at very trying times. For Holly, helping people as a lawyer in family, bankruptcy, personal injury, accident, estate planning, and adoption law gives great joy since it allows her to help people succeed through difficult times and get their dignity back.

Kevin B. Martin is a highly accomplished attorney who handles all aspects of family law matters. During his 17-year career, he has developed broad experience in many areas of the law, including commercial litigation, securities litigation, accounting fraud, and governmental/regulatory investigations, and brings these valuable perspectives to his family law cases. Kevin offers his clients a truly multifaceted outlook, especially those with proprietary business interests. Prior to joining Blank Rome, Kevin co-founded Sonoma Risk Insurance Agency, LLC in Los Angeles, where he developed first-of-its-kind and patent-pending insurance product, “Attorney Fees Risk Insurance,” which covers the risk of paying an adversary’s attorneys’ fees in litigation. This innovative product was hailed by the legal community as a “game changer” and legal “safety net.” As the CEO of Sonoma Risk, Kevin raised capital, negotiated countless contracts, and eventually sold Sonoma Risk to a publicly traded insurance company. His clients also benefit from his experience as a civil litigator and as an enforcement attorney at the Securities Exchange Commission (“SEC”), where he investigated and prosecuted many different types of financial fraud. His financial investigative experience has been tremendously valuable when analyzing complex and multifaceted financial issues that are pertinent to many high-net-worth estates. Kevin has handled and practiced litigation from all angles, and his clients benefit from his ability to view cases through a variety of lenses. He has managed all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, and understands the serious effects that negative outcomes can have on personal finances, businesses, and professional reputations. Kevin is the author of numerous published articles in periodicals such as the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Smart Business Los Angeles, California Family Law Monthly, LJN’s Franchising Business & Law Alert, Orange County Lawyer 360, and other publications. He has also served as a co-editor of the ABA’s Class and Derivative Action Newsletter.

Peter Martin, a founding partner of the law firm, graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School in the Oakwood area of Staten Island in 1994. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College Wallace E. Carroll School of Management in 1998. After college, Mr. Martin was awarded an academic scholarship to attend New York Law School. While there, he served as an Articles Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Comparative & International Law. Mr. Martin graduated from New York Law School in 2001, achieving his Juris Doctorate, and was admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey the same year. Mr. Martin has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions in New York and New Jersey, having closed over 5,000 real estate transactions since being admitted to practice in 2001. Mr. Martin’s bar memberships include the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Martin is an active member of the Richmond County Bar Association.
