Kevin B. Martin is a highly accomplished attorney who handles all aspects of family law matters. During his 17-year career, he has developed broad experience in many areas of the law, including commercial litigation, securities litigation, accounting fraud, and governmental/regulatory investigations, and brings these valuable perspectives to his family law cases. Kevin offers his clients a truly multifaceted outlook, especially those with proprietary business interests. Prior to joining Blank Rome, Kevin co-founded Sonoma Risk Insurance Agency, LLC in Los Angeles, where he developed first-of-its-kind and patent-pending insurance product, “Attorney Fees Risk Insurance,” which covers the risk of paying an adversary’s attorneys’ fees in litigation. This innovative product was hailed by the legal community as a “game changer” and legal “safety net.” As the CEO of Sonoma Risk, Kevin raised capital, negotiated countless contracts, and eventually sold Sonoma Risk to a publicly traded insurance company. His clients also benefit from his experience as a civil litigator and as an enforcement attorney at the Securities Exchange Commission (“SEC”), where he investigated and prosecuted many different types of financial fraud. His financial investigative experience has been tremendously valuable when analyzing complex and multifaceted financial issues that are pertinent to many high-net-worth estates. Kevin has handled and practiced litigation from all angles, and his clients benefit from his ability to view cases through a variety of lenses. He has managed all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, and understands the serious effects that negative outcomes can have on personal finances, businesses, and professional reputations. Kevin is the author of numerous published articles in periodicals such as the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Smart Business Los Angeles, California Family Law Monthly, LJN’s Franchising Business & Law Alert, Orange County Lawyer 360, and other publications. He has also served as a co-editor of the ABA’s Class and Derivative Action Newsletter.

Peter Martin, a founding partner of the law firm, graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School in the Oakwood area of Staten Island in 1994. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College Wallace E. Carroll School of Management in 1998. After college, Mr. Martin was awarded an academic scholarship to attend New York Law School. While there, he served as an Articles Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Comparative & International Law. Mr. Martin graduated from New York Law School in 2001, achieving his Juris Doctorate, and was admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey the same year. Mr. Martin has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions in New York and New Jersey, having closed over 5,000 real estate transactions since being admitted to practice in 2001. Mr. Martin’s bar memberships include the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Martin is an active member of the Richmond County Bar Association.

Vicki graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Crime, Law & Justice in 2004. She then received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2011 where she was a Deirdre L. Bailey Leadership Scholar and received the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service. In 2011, Vicki passed both the PA and NJ bars. She is a current member of the New Jersey Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section. For many years, she was employed by a national insurance carrier which gives her a unique insight into the motivations and strategies utilized by employers and their insurance carriers. She now enjoys representing the interests of injured workers and helping them obtain the benefits they deserve. Vicki lives in Burlington County with her husband, 2 sons, and various pets. She is an avid Penn State and Philly sports fan as well as an advocate for childhood cancer and autism awareness.

Since 1995, Jennipher R. Martinez has focused her practice on family law, handling domestic relations issues, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, and spousal support (formerly known as alimony) matters. She combines her vast experience with a compassionate, caring, yet aggressive approach to finding solutions for her clients. The decision to file for divorce is usually a difficult and emotional choice, which also affects a person’s finances, lifestyle, future, and their children. As such, Jennipher frequently uses mediation, collaboration, and negotiation to reach an agreement regarding division of property and issues related to the minor children. She has represented clients who are high-wealth individuals, including cases involving professional athletes, business owners, doctors, and lawyers. Divorces for these types of clients often involve investigation and evaluation of business interests and obligations to ensure assets are divided and distributed equitably. When a resolution cannot be achieved amicably, Jennipher is equally prepared to vigorously pursue her clients’ rights in the courtroom. Admitted to practice law in Michigan, she regularly appears before judges in the Family Divisions of Ingham, Clinton, and Eaton Circuit Courts. Jennipher earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School (ranked third in the country), where she was taught by then Professor Barack Obama. For three years, she served as a Guardian Ad Litem in the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County, Michigan, protecting the rights of children. Jennipher’s goal in every divorce case is to handle the matter aggressively, yet with compassion. She also aims to provide straightforward advice and counsel that enables her clients to make the best decisions possible for themselves and their children.
