Robert Marino became a lawyer because he wanted to give a voice to the voiceless. He does just that by focusing his practice on cases where people need help standing up to those who have injured them and he helps his clients protect their recoveries and benefits. His passion for the law extends to his role as an adjunct professor of law, where, for more than 15 years, he has been teaching future generations of lawyers. Rob is a frequent point of contact for all of the firm’s clients, and he is always available to answer their questions, doing so in a way that makes even the most complex issues easy to understand. He knows his clients are under a lot of stress and are being forced to make significant decisions, so he breaks things down into smaller steps and makes sure his clients know and understand their options before they make any decision. Rob has successfully briefed and argued many complex and novel legal issues before the trial courts, appellate courts and in the Surrogate’s courts. He has a knack for finding creative solutions to problems and leveraging his legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills to obtain positive outcomes. He earned his B.A. from Ursinus College before attending New York Law School, where he earned his J.D.

Carter Mario has been practicing law in Connecticut for over 30 years. He attended college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill on a full wrestling scholarship and from there went to law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Pete, Florida. He chose to return to his hometown of Milford, Connecticut to start his practice. As Founder and President of Carter Mario Law Firm, Carter has spearheaded tremendous growth. What started in a one-room office has grown into Connecticut’s largest personal injury law firm with six, fully staffed offices across the state. “We’re big enough to go against any insurance company but small enough to care about our clients,” said Carter. “Our growth has been possible because of the excellence, care, and compassion with which we have served thousands of clients. Everything we do is about putting clients first,” Carter said. “That is the foundation of the firm. I love when the representation ends with a fully satisfied client that we have helped to make a positive difference in their life.” “I have built my career on helping injured individuals to rebuild their lives. That’s what brought me to focus my practice on personal injury. No two personal injury clients or cases are exactly the same. Each one of us has a different story to tell. That’s why I create a personalized, comprehensive strategy in order to secure the best possible outcome for each client after they have been injured due to the negligence of another person. I strive to ensure that our clients get what they truly deserve.” Throughout his legal career, Carter has received numerous awards for his legal abilities and impressive track record, including being featured in books and numerous publications that highlight top businesses focusing on culture and customer experience. His perfect 10.0 Avvo rating speaks volumes about his skills, passion, and dedication to his clients. Carter holds an AV preeminent rating through Martindale-Hubbell. As such, he is part of an elite group of attorneys who have been highly rated by their peers as having very high ethical standards and an A grade of 4.5 or higher. He is also passionate about helping those organizations that need his help through the firm’s CarterCares outreach program. Attorney Carter Mario is licensed to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. District Court of Connecticut. Carter is married to his college sweetheart, and they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Two of his kids, Alex and Luke, work with him at the firm as attorneys. When he is not working, you can find him hard at work on his tractor or excavator digging holes and making trails on his property in Vermont. He is an avid motorcycle rider as well as a top-notch peloton rider and cyclist. Carter believes staying in shape gives him the mental toughness, energy, and well-being to keep him on top of his game and be the best version of himself so that he can be the best advocate for those that depend on him.

Attorney Alex Mario, daughter of firm founder and president, Carter Mario, was inspired from an early age to continue her family’s legacy of fighting for the injured. Alex has stood alongside her father and the Carter Mario Law Firm from the age of fifteen, in the firm’s commercials, billboards, buses, and social media platforms and encouraged Connecticut’s injured to “Get Carter!” Born and raised in Connecticut, Alex’s competitive drive and fighting spirit led her to attend high school at the prestigious International Management Group (IMG) Sports Academy, in Bradenton, Fl. in their soccer program. From there it was a natural choice to follow her parents’ footsteps and attend college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Alex double majored in Journalism and Mass Communication & Spanish Literature and Language. During college, Alex spent a year abroad in Seville, Spain, where she lived with a Spanish family and was completely immersed in the local culture. Upon graduation from college, Alex worked for four years at Time Warner Cable Corporate in NYC in various roles from executive assistant to the President of Residential Operations, a Marketing Analyst, as well as Analyst of Operational Effectiveness. During this time, she was elected to be a member of Time Warner Cable’s Aspiring Leadership Organization. Working with people and solving disputes on a corporate level made Alex realize her desire to return to the family law business and help those that needed a fighter in their corner. She obtained her JD from Fordham University School of Law, where she earned a spot on their Trial Advocacy team, one of the top programs in the country. While earning her JD, Alex also received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award – an award given for providing over 100 hours of pro bono and community work for Fordham Law’s Mediation Clinic at the small claims court in Manhattan. When Alex isn’t fiercely advocating for her clients, she is busy with her family, especially keeping up with her young sons Kees and Karson. Once an avid movie buff, she now has become a connoisseur of children’s television shows, and knows most of Coco Melon by heart! She still makes time to enjoy a good travel or cooking show on the weekends, listen to some jazz or Andrea Bocelli and when able, enjoys skiing and watching soccer. Her dogs, Bubba & Frankie, are her lounging partners and add to the overall excitement. As your dedicated advocate, Alex will handcraft a plan of attack that is specific to your case. Born into a family of fighters and high achievers, Alex is ready to stand in your corner and help you get your life back.
