Joseph N. Nusbaum is a bilingual (Spanish) native of the South Florida area, having graduated from high school in Miami Beach. He attended the University of Miami, where he received his B.A. in 1993. Joe then spent one year as a middle school teacher before attending Nova Southeastern University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1997. While attending law school, Joe was selected as a Certified Legal Intern for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office where he was responsible for leading several jury trials that lead to DUI criminal convictions. Now a partner in the firm, Joe specializes in matters dealing in Medical Malpractice, Auto Accidents, Faulty or Unsafe Products, Premises Liability, and Nursing Home Negligence. His trial accomplishments include the well-publicized matter of Amora v. State of Florida, Department of Children and Families that resulted in the largest jury verdict in history against that entity (35 million dollars), as well as several other multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Siobhan T. O’Grady joined Miller Zeiderman LLP in November 2018 after having served as the Principal Court Attorney to a Supreme Court Justice for five years and a Family Court Judge for almost three years, with six years of litigation experience before joining the Court System.
