Sol Z.Sokel, Esq. (a/k/a “Shlomo”) is an accomplished trial attorney and former adjunct professor who was born and raised on Long Island. He went to local schools, including Queens College, where he earned honors and an accounting degree (’95), passed the CPA exam (’97), and then graduated from Hofstra University Law School (’99). Before he completed his second year of law school, Sol was recruited by a “Big Six” accounting firm to join their personal tax planning department. It soon became clear that the courtroom was more his passion, and so, for sixteen years, Sol practiced in two top-rated litigation-based law firms. Over his career, Sol successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants on behalf of and against some of the most well known insurance companies and law firms in the country. Sol appeared as a guest attorney on TV, published numerous legal articles, and lectured publicly, including to the sold-out crowd of an international company. He taught for the paralegal program at Bramson ORT College in Queens and continues to live on Long Island with his wife, raising their five children.

Eric founded the firm in 1990. He received his JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School and is licensed in both Wisconsin and Colorado. Eric has practiced before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit Court of appeals and the United States Supreme Court. His current emphasis is in the drafting of special needs trusts and Medicaid and Medicare lien resolution. Eric's successes include numerous elder law cases in the appellate courts and federal and state lower courts. He won the only Colorado State cases establishing restrictions on Medicaid estate recoveries and Medicaid personal injury liens.

Melissa Solevilla started her career in personal injury as a receptionist at a personal injury law Firm in 1999.
