This record-setting verdict came on the heels of various other million dollar litigation and settlements, marking Robert as one of the youngest top trial attorneys in the nation to obtain such an accomplishment.

Area of Practice: Civil Rights - Special Education Law With more than 25 years of experience in the legal field, Phillip primarily focuses on special education law. Phillip Sparks is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. He grew up in Southern California and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Thereafter, he attended the University of Southern California to receive his Juris Doctorate. Following law school, he worked in various law firms with the practice areas of Criminal law, Insurance Defense, Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Entertainment, and Collections. He also had management positions in a number of telecommunications companies. In 2008, he began his journey in special education law. He has been part of the faculty of the National Business Institute, lecturing on subjects in Special Education Law. Since beginning his practice, he has helped numerous families gain the placements and services they need for their children.

Mark Sparks has spent his legal career representing and fighting for those who have been wronged or taken advantage of. He refuses to accept that “might is right,” and continues to champion the rights of all. Mark is a board-certified injury attorney serving clients for the last 18 years. Board certification is an accomplishment that less than 2% of attorneys in Texas receive. Mark focuses not only on personal injury, commercial, and insurance cases, but also complex oil and gas litigation representing royalty owners, operators, and lessors. In addition to being admitted to the Texas bar, he earned admission to the California bar while working on class actions and mass torts in California state and federal courts. Recently, Mark lead a team of lawyers who obtained several hundred million dollars in settlements after concluding complex litigation filed in multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, Mark represented hundreds of Hurricane Sandy victims in New York federal courts, exposing deceptive practices that insurance companies used to deny claims. He also holds noteworthy verdicts including a ‘Texas Top 100 Verdict’ in 2015.

Mr. Spears is a 1972 graduate of the University of South Carolina where he served as Vice President of the Student Body in 1970 and President of the Student Body in 1971. After graduation, he served as an administrative assistant to President Thomas F. Jones and helped develop South Carolina’s second medical school in Columbia, S.C. He entered the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1974 and graduated in 1977 after which he was admitted to practice in all South Carolina state courts as well as the Federal District Courts of South Carolina, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of The United States of America. He is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell and is rated among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America. He has been named to the “Best Lawyers in America” for over 20 years and “Best Lawyers in the Upstate” for as long. His prior law firm, prior to merging with Parham, Smith and Archenhold, was rated as of one of the ”Best Law Firms in America” and he has received numerous honors in the field of Medical Malpractice law and litigation. He also received his Education for Ministry from The University of the South in 2002.
