Richard Straughn, began his practice after graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1983. He has a strong commitment to community and has served as president on the boards of numerous local non-profits, including the Greater Winter Haven Area Chamber of Commerce, Winter Haven Hospital, Mid-Florida Medical Services Foundation and Polk Community College Foundation. Mr. Straughn was honored to receive the Winter Haven Banker’s Cup “Man of the Year” award in recognition of his service to the community. Mr. Straughn's practice has been varied and evolving over the years, giving him experience in a variety of areas, including business, real estate, and general litigation. Currently, his practice is focused on real estate transactions and business law. Mr. Straughn has received honorers in the area of title insurance.

Area of Practice: Consumer Protection Alex R. Straus has represented consumers, labor unions, and municipalities throughout the United States in practice areas ranging from complex tort and personal injury to antitrust and securities litigation. In 2013, he authored an amicus curiae brief filed in the Supreme Court of the United States in support of a shipyard worker who died as a result of asbestos exposure and, in 2024, argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Straus has also authored multiple non-fiction books and wrote more than 100 nationally published feature-length magazine articles before becoming an attorney in 2010. Mr. Straus is licensed to practice law in California, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, and South Carolina.

Wes Straw has been trying civil cases for over ten years. He has been trial counsel in numerous catastrophic bodily injury cases resulting in jury verdicts exceeding $30,000,000 since commencing practice as a personal injury attorney in Tampa Bay and Saint Petersburg, Florida. Wes obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Tampa. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law after attending both Florida Coastal School of Law and Stetson Law School. While in law school, Wes served on the law review, mock trial team and served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Duval County State Attorneys Office. He was certified by the Supreme Court of Florida to handle civil cases for the Duval County State Attorneys Office, and obtained favorable verdicts for the office in all cases that he tried to verdict.
