Megan Falsafi focuses her practice in all areas of family law, including divorce, maintenance (formerly known as alimony), child support and child related expenses, allocation of parental responsibilities, including decision-making and parenting time, division of assets and debts, post divorce disputes including enforcement of Judgments, domestic violence issues, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Megan began her legal career in 2014 while working for the longest standing States Attorney in Illinois. Megan helped the former States Attorney open his own private practice, where they practiced family law. Katherine Farese is an associate attorney at Farese, Farese & Farese, P.A. in Ashland, Mississippi. Mark R. Farrow received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University. Although he did not major in English, he received the English Department’s annual Orville Baker Award for Excellence in Writing, which is awarded to one student at the end of each academic year. While studying law at the University of Illinois, Mark was a member of the National Moot Court Team and received the Rickert Award for excellence in moot court. After receiving his Juris Doctor Degree in 1989, Mark served for two years as Appellate Law Clerk to Justice Carl A. Lund (retired). Mark has practiced law in Naperville since 1991 and joined Fay, Farrow & Associates, P.C. in 2002 after deciding to concentrate his practice in the field of family law. He became a partner in 2004. Mark’s approach to divorce cases is enlightened by his diverse trial experience and his life experience as a father, stepfather, and an individual who has experienced the divorce process firsthand. Mark is known for his intelligence, thorough preparation, and sense of perspective, all of which help to eliminate some of the anxiety clients often experience when involved in the legal process. For over twenty-six years, Phyllis has specialized in the trial of complex domestic relations and family law matters and has worked with a number of prestigious firms specializing in this area of the law. In 1994, she was one of the founding partners of Schmidt & Federico, P.C Phyllis’ practice encompasses all aspects of matrimonial and domestic relations law, including divorce, custody, modifications, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and paternity. She handles high-conflict disputes with an emphasis on business valuation and custody litigation. She has chaired and been a panel member of many continuing education programs for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, (“MCLE”), the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem, (“MAGAL”), the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, (“AFCC”) and has been a guest lecturer at Boston College Law School and Suffolk University Law School. Phyllis has authored many articles on family law practice. She is the co-editor of the MCLE publication “Massachusetts Divorce Law Practice Manual” and has co-authored the Separation Agreement Chapter for that publication for many years. She is the Co-Author of the Massachusetts Family Law Source Book and Citator. She is listed in Naifeh & Smith’s “Best Lawyers in America,” has been listed as one of Boston Magazine’s top fifty female attorneys and has been included as a Super Lawyer in Boston Magazine in the category of family law since 2004 as well as “New England Super Lawyers.”
