Lori attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where she received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. In 1990, Lori moved to Houston, Texas, and enrolled in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Over the past 14 years, her practice has evolved into a family life practice which includes all areas of family law, business transactions, estate planning, real estate, agriculture, civil litigation, select personal injury claims and water law. Lori is also the attorney for the Town of Twin Bridges. Lori is licensed to practice in Montana, Arizona and Texas. In addition to her law practice, Lori has a life coach practice. When she meets, consults and advises clients, she does so through the ears and eyes of experience. She is attentive to her clients’ needs, while strategically and aggressively representing their interests.

For Tony, the law is a calling, not a job. He is a mountain boy, with simple, straightforward values. With four children, a marriage that has lasted more than 35 years, work experience beginning at 12 years old, and the heritage of two farming families from rural North Carolina, Tony can relate to most of his clients and their problems. Tony has worked for some of this state's most elite law firms before striking out on his own, representing Fortune 100 companies in a variety of complex practice areas. He has handled cases in the areas of every aspect of family law, bankruptcy, business litigation, IRS and Department of Revenue tax collections, products liability, serious personal injury, workers' compensation, estate and real estate litigation, and business coaching and formation. He has run his own businesses, including this law firm, giving him a wealth of experience to apply to a client's situation. Having appeared and participated in cases in our state's trial and appellate courts, as well as all of North Carolina's federal district courts and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, Tony knows how to aggressively yet practically manage litigation at virtually any level.

Barbara is a shareholder at Smith Alling. Her work focuses on all aspects of family law. Prior to attending law school, Barbara spent several years in the contract administration section of a large regional bank handling secured transactions. Barbara was an Associate Editor of the University of Puget Sound (“UPS”) Law Review, and was employed as a legal intern by Smith Alling Lane, P.S. during her second year of law school.She graduated magna cum laude from UPS Law School (now Seattle University Law School). After graduation, Barbara became an Associate at Smith Alling Lane, where she was initially involved in major antitrust litigation involving power plant construction. Barbara served for 10 years as a commissioner pro-tem in the Pierce County Superior Court, and was a Nisqually Tribal Court judge for a year. Barbara serves as a mediator at the Pierce County Center for Dialogue and Resolution and as a pro tem settlement conference judge for the Pierce County Superior Court.
