Nicole Wood Hermsdorf, Esq., is the founding partner of Hermsdorf Law, LLC in Newburyport, MA. Her practice focuses in all areas of family law including high conflict and uncontested divorces, child custody, alimony and support, modification actions, guardianship and mediation. Prior to starting Hermsdorf Law, LLC, Attorney Hermsdorf was in-house general counsel for Citibank for over eleven years. While at Citibank, Attorney Hermsdorf drafted and negotiated complex documentation involved in the launch of hedge funds, private equity, and mutual funds. She was counsel to Citibank’s largest asset management client at the time with approximately $5.7 trillion assets under management as of 2017. This past experience makes Attorney Hermsdorf experienced and aggressive in litigating and negotiating complex financial matters including business valuations, inherited assets, and the division of the martial estates. Armando Hernandez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is a Miami criminal defense attorney who concentrates his legal practice in the area of criminal defense. He received his B.A. from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he graduated with Honors. He holds an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) License and all flight instructor ratings. He was on the Dean’s list and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law. He was a member of the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review. A fluent Spanish speaker, Mr. Hernandez represents individuals in and around Miami, as well as throughout the rest of Florida. Mr. Hernandez has established a prominently successful and reputable private practice. Prior to entering private practice, Armando Hernandez was an Assistant State Attorney in which he handled thousands of cases ranging from Driving Under the Influence (DUI) to Murder. In 2006, MADD presented Mr. Hernandez with the Prosecution Award of Honor for his outstanding dedication to DUI prosecution. Attorney Hernandez successfully concluded his career at the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office as the prosecutor assigned to anchor one of the two Repeat Offender Courts (ROC). His case load consisted of Life and first-degree felony cases of defendants who qualified as Violent Career Criminals, Habitual Violent Felony Offenders and Prison Releasee Reoffenders. Mr. Hernandez uses that former prosecutor experience to protect your constitutional rights. He is also a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Area of Practice: Human Rights & Civil Rights Law Janet Herold is the Legal Director of Justice Catalyst Law. Prior to joining Justice Catalyst Law, she served as the Department of Labor’s Regional Solicitor for the Western Region, leading creative and groundbreaking litigation addressing a wide array of worker exploitation, including employment discrimination, wage theft, retaliation, and misuse and waste of employee pensions and health funds. Notably, she brought the largest pay discrimination case ever filed by the federal government, anchored and led the DOL’s efforts to redress employee misclassification as independent contractors, and pioneered the use of the early injunction to protect vulnerable and immigrant workers from retaliation and threats of immediate physical harm. Prior to becoming Regional Solicitor, Ms. Herold was Associate General Counsel for the Service Employees International Union, leading the National Wage and Hour Project and serving as litigation counsel to classes of immigrant or vulnerable workers, including developing and bringing groundbreaking litigation securing immediate injunctive relief for misclassified warehouses workers moving goods for Walmart. Both before and while at SEIU, Ms. Herold also maintained a private practice, leading creative class action litigation representing workers seeking redress for severe workplace exploitation, trafficking, and myriad forms of wage theft, including successfully securing utilizing California’s taxpayer redress statute to secure redress for a statewide class of incarcerated workers.
