Attorney Robert K. Hoffman is a Houston-native born of immigrant parents from Costa Rica and is fluent in English and Spanish. He graduated from Langham Creek High School in Cypress, Texas in 1999. He then attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of the Arts in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in United States History. Upon his graduation, he traveled to Washington, DC and worked on the 2004 Presidential Campaign. Following the elections, Mr. Hoffman returned to Houston and enrolled at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. Mr. Hoffman graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2009. Mr. Hoffman gained prior experience in immigration law working at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. As a Staff Attorney with Catholic Charities, Mr. Hoffman worked with Unaccompanied Minors, Refugees, Victims of Domestic Violence, Victims of Human Trafficking, and applicants for DACA.

Jane has a broad-based Family Law practice. Her experience includes challenging Hague and Mobility cases, as well as Trial and Appeal work, in all areas of Family Law. Jane practice includes litigation and representation of clients in negotiated, mediated, and arbitrated settlements. Jane graduated from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 1981 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Africa as an Attorney in 1985, with a practice in criminal, family, and insurance law, as well as volunteering her services as a member of Lawyers for Democratic Rights in Cape Town. She immigrated to Canada in 1986, first to Saskatchewan and later to Calgary, taking a break from her legal practice to focus on her family. After completing her UCC requirements in Alberta, she articled with the Crown Prosecutor’s office in Calgary and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1996. Since then, she has practiced exclusively in Family Law. Jane held an executive position on the Alberta Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) from 2014 to 2019, having been part of the steering committee that formed the Chapter. The AFCC is an interdisciplinary and international association of professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through the resolution of family conflict.

Schuyler Hoffman leads the residential real estate practice group at Hoffman Forde, a real estate practice group located in San Diego. He represents clients throughout Southern California, focusing on legal matters involving residential real estate disputes, real estate non-disclosures, homeowners’ association conflicts, landlord/tenant disagreements, delays and liens, and fraud claims. Mr. Hoffman has developed cost-effective solutions to complex real estate disputes and has extensive experience in mediation and arbitration in the presence of various institutions.
