Julia L. Gray is the founder of our firm. The story of her legal career began in 1988 shortly after graduating cum laude from the University of Minnesota School of Law. Her passion for providing extraordinary legal services to ordinary people continues down to this day. In fact, she has added mediation services and practicing law in the state of Illinois to her story. Julia is also an experienced educator, having taught writing classes and seminars at all levels, including high school, college, MBA, and other professional programs. Julia L. Gray has also taught Business Law and Constitutional Law at local MBA programs. When she's not working hard on behalf of her clients, she enjoys spending her time volunteering in her community. She works with organizations such as BAMSL Attorneys Against Hunger, Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis, Connections to Success, Humane Society of Missouri and The Little Bit Foundation. Julia L. Area of Practice: Government Affairs/Business Advisory Justin Gray is the President and CEO of Gray Global Advisors, LLC (GGA), a full service business advisory firm that specializes in the strategic implementation of government affairs and business consulting services for public and private corporations, foreign governments, educational institutions, trade associations, foundations, and nonprofits. Mr. Gray leads the operations of the firm’s numerous practice areas, and is responsible for the management of the Washington, D.C. office. As a seasoned advisor in the creation of public policy campaigns and business development initiatives in the telecommunications, transportation and infrastructure, international trade, financial services, health care, energy, and education sectors, Mr. Gray counsels global governments, corporations, and non-profit organizations on legislative, regulatory, and third party stakeholder outreach initiatives. He also provides guidance to businesses on domestic and international development opportunities with respect to market entry analysis; transaction structure; regulatory and political risk mitigation; joint ventures; public-private partnerships; and navigating related government, business, and third party communities. Mr. Gray’s previous experience includes executing messaging and outreach strategies for leading media and telecommunication companies on video franchising, network neutrality, must carriage agreements, and artist performance royalties. He has implemented engagement strategies with respect to antitrust and FCC approvals of mergers and other consolidation transactions on behalf of leading satellite radio and cable providers. Mr. Gray has advised heads of state on foreign policy and international trade matters related to restricting predatory collection of sovereign debt, territorial disputes, and tax haven issues. He has counseled government-backed international private equity clients on the structure and regulatory approval for privatization. He has also assisted in enforcing domestic and international market entry strategies on behalf of leading private equity, health care, information technology, and insurance risk management firms. With his extensive experience as a practicing attorney, Mr. Gray has worked at several national law firms on corporate transactions and public policy matters. He has negotiated and structured corporate transactional matters on behalf of high-growth companies and investors on all aspects of formation and financing, choice of entity, angel and venture capital financing, capital structure, and private placements. Mr. Gray has spoken on his public policy and business engagement strategies as a guest lecturer at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and at George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration. Mr. Gray serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Riverview School in East Sandwich, MA, a co-educational residential school for children with complex learning and cognitive disabilities. He served on the Board of Directors of the Priorities USA Political Action Committee and served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Law Center, a Washington, D.C. based legal services organization that provides comprehensive legal and social services representation for at-risk children. For over 25 years, he has gained extensive experience in his representation of clients in complex litigation and has served in, or been appointed to, a leadership capacity for some of the nation’s largest class actions. Starting in 1992, Mr. Gray filed his first class action, which was a lawsuit involving 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for wrongful strip search in the case known as Eddleman v. Jefferson County Jail. Mr. Gray acted as co-lead counsel in this litigation, which resulted in a $12 million settlement. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Gray also served as co-lead counsel in a similar case involving 42 U.S.C. § 1983, known as Armstrong vs. Franklin County Jail. This case was resolved by settlement of $6 million. Since the early 1990s, Mr. Gray has been involved with numerous complex litigation cases including, but not limited to, class action lawsuits involving anti-trust, consumer fraud, conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duty, contract, liability, negligence, and various other restraints of trade actions. Mr. Gray has continued to demonstrate his ability to work with large groups of litigants and counsel of record, who may all have varied interests, with the objective to effectively aid the Court and protect the interests of plaintiffs by litigating the case in a productive, efficient, and cooperative manner.
