Wayne Mineo’s practice focuses on general negligence/liability, plaintiff and defense premise liability, motor vehicle liability and insurance law. Previously he managed the law firm of Mineo and Associates, headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. Wayne is a former instructor and lecturer for the National Institute of Trial Attorneys and National Association for Subrogation Professional. He is also a member of the Florida Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, and founder of the Living Will Project. Wayne has served as board/committee member for the Florida Bar Association Volunteer Bar Liaison Committee, Pinellas County Board of Adjustment, Long Center Foundation, and Safety Harbor Neighborhood Family Center. Recently Mr. Mineo was appointed to be a Commissioner on the Pinellas County Housing Authority. He is licensed to Practice law in Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. In addition to his legal work, Wayne was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and is married and father to three adult children and two rescue beagles. Wayne and his wife spend their free time supporting their local community, traveling, playing hockey, camping. He is also a 3-time recipient of Rotarian of the year and 25-year board member of the Rotary Club of Safety Harbor. Further, Wayne is currently the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 600. In 2009 The Pinellas County Board of County Commissions Declared September 10, 2009 Wayne C. Mineo Day, as an acknowledgment for his lifelong work with the Boy Scouts of America. Wayne obtained his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, and an LLM in Trial Advocacy from Temple University School of Law. She was one of two (2) attorneys chosen for the first time to join management at the NYC Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division, in recruiting attorneys. CLERKSHIP Due to Ms. Miranda 's litigation excellence she followed Legal Aid with a two (2) year clerkship in NYS Supreme Court, advising Judge Nicholas Figueroa on complex felony legal issues at pre-trial hearings and criminal trials. She drafted nine (9) legal decisions published in the NYLJ, two (2) in which evidence unlawfully obtained was not admitted against the accused at trial. Both decisions made the front page. As a Law Clerk, Ms. Miranda was also responsible for teaching legal interns and young attorneys criminal law and procedure, assigning legal issues for them to research and critiquing their memos of law.
