Alicia M. Meeker is the founder of Meeker Law, PLLC. Alicia’s practice primarily focuses on providing affordable representation in family law matters involving divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, and post-judgment domestic matters. From the initial consultation until the end of the case, Alicia personally works hand in hand with each of her clients. Alicia also believes in resolving family law matters through alternative dispute resolution when possible. Alicia obtained a Business degree from Michigan State University and Juris Doctor with a specialization in litigation from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While attending law school, Alicia was actively involved in working for the Friend of the Court and a firm that solely specialized in family law, where her passion for family law derived. Collectively, Alicia has over 8 years of family law experience! Mejias believes in accountability in business. In 2003, despite overwhelming odds, David Mejias was elected to the Nassau County Legislature. Since taking office, Mejias has maintained his focus and fought for issues that are important to his thousands of constituents. He is also a veteran of tough battles, fighting hard to win reelection. He has led the effort to keep our children safe from sex offenders by sponsoring the toughest Megan’s Notification Law in New York State and sponsored legislation implementing residency restrictions for sex offenders. Most recently, David Mejias sponsored and passed legislation that allows law enforcement to install computer monitoring software on the computers of registered sex offenders, using the same technology sex offenders use to prey on our children to catch them in the act. As a legislator and in the practice of law, David has fought for the rights of victims of domestic violence. He has been recognized by the Coalition Against Domestic Violence for his efforts on their behalf. David Mejias is a graduate of The University at Albany School of Business and Fordham University School of Law.

Lisa is also known for her aggressive defense of her clients as well as her knowledge of the law and how it pertains to their situation. She advocates for the rights and well-being of her clients and that of their children and the elderly. She has a reputation for being a very fair negotiator and communicator with other lawyers and judges, which streamlines and expedites the process. Lisa acts with compassion and understanding, while detailing in great depth the reality of the legal process and true expectations of the court process. She hopes that by being open and honest and communicative, her clients can move past this often difficult and emotional process efficiently to live the life they were meant to lead. Lisa is a licensed attorney, with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature. She has litigated multiple bench and jury trials in civil and criminal court for the Mendes Weed law firm of San Francisco. Lisa is an active member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA), specifically in the Family Law, Women’s, Tax and Estate Planning Sections. Lisa has written multiple articles for the Contra Costa Lawyer Magazine. She is a member of the Robert G. McGrath Inn of Court. Lisa advocates for proposed legislation and new laws as a member of the Contra Costa County Delegation of the California Conference of Bar Associations.
