Rich J. Peters is a proud native of Phoenix, Arizona. As owner of R.J. Peters & Assoc., P.C., his firm operates less than one mile from the hospital he was born at. Rich has limited his legal practice to Family Law since 1992. He was sworn in by the State Bar of Arizona on October 25, 1992, just a few days after his 25th birthday. Rich often brags that he was the youngest lawyer in the state when he was sworn in, but this is truly just a guess. Rich has owned R.J. Peters & Assoc. Since 2005. Prior to that he worked for two very prominent Family Law firms in Glendale and Phoenix. While not every case needs to go to Court, Rich does enjoy being in the Courtroom and considers that one of his greatest skills. Although being born and raised in Phoenix, Rich did move around a bit during his youth, pending time in Spain, Houston, and South Africa. In 1989 he graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Business. In 1992 he graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Juris Doctor. He immediately returned home to Phoenix after law school. Four of Rich’s five children have graduated from Arizona Universities, and his youngest graduated in May 2020. He and his Wife Jennifer enjoy their time traveling and boating.

Ronald R. Petroff was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated high school from the University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. He attended Vanderbilt University as an undergraduate where he earned a bachelor’s degree and double majored in Political Science and American History. He graduated cum laude and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Mr. Petroff then attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he earned a certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution and was a member of the National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team. Mr. Petroff also was a member of the National Trial Competition Team. Mr. Petroff earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his perfect score in the class, Criminal Law in the Boardroom. In 2017, Mr. Petroff was named as a Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 Honoree, an honor bestowed upon members of the business community who have achieved great professional and personal milestones. Mr. Petroff has been voted by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys as one of the 10 best family law lawyers under the age of 40 in the state of Ohio for 2014 and 2015. He won a similar award from the American Society of Legal Advocates in 2014. In 2015, Mr. Petroff was voted as being one of the nation’s top 1% of attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Finally, in 2015, Mr. Petroff was rated by Super Lawyers as a rising star in the field of Family Law. Mr. Petroff has consistently held the highest 10/10 rating on the attorney directory site AVVO and recently won, for the second time, AVVO’s “Client’s Choice” award.

Since handling my own divorce over twenty years ago, I have devoted my practice to matrimonial and family law on Long Island, representing business owners, executives, teachers, police officers, doctors, attorneys, homemakers, union members, and firefighters. I have handled hundreds of divorce and family law cases, negotiating favorable settlements for most, and proceeding to trial when necessary, and have prevailed on numerous divorce, child support, and child custody appeals. I was born and raised on Long Island. I graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School, and earned my undergraduate degree, cum laude, in 1986 from SUNY Stony Brook. I attended Hofstra University School of Law, where I was editor of the Hofstra Environmental Law Digest, and earned my law degree in 1989. I was admitted to the New York Bar in 1990, and started my own practice in 1992.

After 14 years of specializing in family law and divorce matters, Brandi Petterson has gained extensive, invaluable experience across all of the jurisdictions in the Denver Metro area, as well as several mountain counties, and both north and south of the Metro area. She has successfully litigated countless high-asset divorces and complex child custody matters. Brandi founded Colorado Divorce Law Group to focus on her vision and the need to assist the “whole client,” not only to help them successfully maneuver their way through their particular family law case, but to rise above the difficult challenges and build a better future through the adversity. Prior to founding Colorado Divorce Law Group, Brandi was a Partner/Owner of a well-respected family law firm for 6 years. Unique to Brandi’s practice is her keen ability to focus exclusively on her clients. She pursues their interests as if they were her own, while coupling over a decade of experience, to reach a successful representation. At times, it may be in the client’s best interest to settle a case through mediation or other negotiations. Of course, when settlement is not an option, Brandi is an experienced litigator in all courts surrounding the Denver Metro area and beyond.
