J. Kevin Renfro was born in 1961 in Blount County, Tennessee. He graduated high school from Heritage High School in Blount County, Tennessee in 1979. Kevin graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with degree in Business Administration in 1983. Kevin the earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1986 where he earned the American Jurisprudence Award and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Law Fraternity.
