With more than 20 years of practice, Sean Shirley regularly represents clients in complex personal injury, property damage, toxic tort, product liability, and wrongful death cases including, but not limited to, electrical systems, gas pipeline systems and their components, child restraint systems, construction materials and HVAC products, among others. Sean has first-chair jury trial experience and has tried multiple jury trials to verdict.

Al Shiyou, founder and principal of Shiyou Law Firm, is also a native of Pinola, Mississippi. He received his A.A. degree from Copiah Lincoln Junior College, his B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. While attending law school, Al served as a probation officer in Hinds County, as an agent for the Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control, and he also worked with Nationwide Insurance Company as an agent. After his graduation, he was the manager of the Trust Department for Trustmark National Bank in Hattiesburg for five years before opening his own law firm. Since 1987, Al has been engaged in the general practice of law in Hattiesburg and Shiyou Law Firm. Al is a member of the Mississippi State Bar and is admitted in all State and Federal courts in Mississippi, the U. S. Supreme Court, and the U. S. Tax Court. He has also successfully presented a number of cases to our Court of Appeals and to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Ms. Shkolnik is an associate with the firm’s Product Liability, Pharmaceutical Department. Prior to joining the Pharmaceutical Department, she focused on premise liability, products liability, labor law, intentional torts as well as civil suits involving victims of sexual assault and/or battery. Rachel focuses on premise liability, products liability, labor law, intentional torts as well as civil suits involving victims of sexual assault and/or battery.

Ms. Shkolnik is an associate with the firm’s Product Liability, Pharmaceutical Department. Prior to joining the Pharmaceutical Department, she focused on premise liability, products liability, labor law, intentional torts as well as civil suits involving victims of sexual assault and/or battery.
