STUART T. SPITZER became Managing Partner on April 1, 2018. He joined the law firm in 1988, after leaving his position as an Associate at Lipsig, Sullivan, Liapakis, Block & McGrath, P.C. Prior to going into private practice, he served as the Principal Court Attorney to the Hon. Harold Hyman in the Supreme Court of Queens County. In that position, together with Justice Hyman, their trial part received special assignments from the Presiding Justices of the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments, to manage, coordinate, supervise, and eventually dispose of multi-party complex litigation matters. Mr. Spitzer received his undergraduate degree from Queens College, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and obtained his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. He is admitted to the Florida Bar, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of the State of New York. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, Queens County Bar Association, and Brandeis Association.

Rebecca joined The Sam Bernstein Law Firm in 2009. Rebecca became an attorney to help people get through tough times in their life. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Rebecca then went on to graduate from the University of Detroit Law School. Most recently, she is now a proud alumni of Harvard Business School after graduating from the school's Advanced Management Program. Rebecca began her legal career as a medical malpractice litigator. She joined The Sam Bernstein Law Firm as the disability department director before being promoted to the Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and then Chief Legal Officer in 2018. She continues to represent clients in these roles, such as several Larry Nassar sexual assault survivors. In 2022 she became the President of the firm, further increasing her responsibilities. Rebecca is proud member of the Michigan Bar Association as well as an executive board member for the Michigan Association for Justice. She is also licensed by the U.S. District Court for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Rebecca married her college sweetheart with whom they have two sons and a rescue puppy named Reggie. Outside of spending time with her family and friends, Rebecca enjoys cooking, traveling and boating.

Matthew H. Springmeyer received a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Literacy Studies (writing emphasis) from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2010. Mr. Springmeyer attended law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA. Mr. Springmeyer graduated in the top ten of his class with Magna Cum Laude Honors in 2013. While in law school, Mr. Springmeyer was the Co-Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, which focused on providing law students with volunteer opportunities. He was also on the Dean’s Honor List every trimester and received Pro Bono and Public Service honors for his extensive hours dedicated to helping others. Additionally, Mr. Springmeyer was the Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the California Western International Law Journal, as well as a member of the California Western Law Review. Mr. Springmeyer worked as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks, Southern District of California. He has also worked for the San Diego County Public Defender in the Multiple Conflicts Office, the Legal Aid Society of San Diego—where he worked in their Pro Bono Clinics, and the United States Attorney’s Officer for the Southern District of California where he worked in the Narcotics Enforcement Section. Lee Squitieri is a partner of Squitieri & Fearon, LLP. Mr. Squitieri represents stockholders, consumers and pension plan participants in complex class actions and individual lawsuits throughout the United States. His primary practice involves pursuing class actions on behalf of investors and retirement plans. He has received an “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell, indicating the highest level of professional excellence and was named a “Super Lawyer” for the New York Metro area in 2010. Mr. Squitieri has successfully litigated class actions in the antitrust, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA, consumer and labor areas of practice. Mr. Squitieri has also successfully prosecuted private and class action securities fraud and other types of claims on behalf of large investors. Mr Squitieri has obtained significant recoveries for diverse clients such as an improperly terminated attorney at a large prominent law firm; a wrongfully terminated executive of a Fortune 500 company alleging race discrimination whose case Mr. Squitieri tried to a jury for five days before a settlement was reached and has defended through trial and jury verdict a former CEO of a multi-national food retailer, wholesaler, manufacturer and distributor against charges of self-dealing, mismanagement and bad faith. Currently, Mr. Squitieri is currently court appointed lead counsel in such major matters, among others, as an antitrust class action suit against Live Nation alleging monopolization of the concert promotion business; a shareholders’ derivative lawsuit against CA, Inc.’s former officers and directors for breach of their duties; an ERISA suit against the fiduciaries of AIG’s various pension plans for losses of hundreds of millions of dollars of pension assets. Mr. Squitieri is also representing institutional investors against Royal Bank of Canada in a fraud and fiduciary breach action arising out of the Canadian Norsheild investment scandal in 2005 and private investors in a fraud and fiduciary breach action against a notorious Madoff “feeder” fund. Since he began practicing law, Mr. Squitieri has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for the people he has represented, in many class actions and individual lawsuits.
