When I entered the legal profession, I brought with me nearly twenty years of practical experience. Previously, I have proudly held positions ranging from soldier to iron worker. As an iron worker, I worked my way through the ranks, ultimately opening my own company in 1997. From 1999 to 2003 I served as an enlisted member of the United States Army. Upon discharge, I laid the groundwork to continue my service to our country as an attorney. Since 2011, I have put my experience to work at The Law Office of David R. Clark, L.L.C. to develop solutions to the issues faced by our clients.

David M. Hawthorne is a partner at the Miami-based law firm Pathman Law, LLC. Mr. Hawthorne’s practice is 100% litigation with a special focus on construction, commercial real estate, and landlord/tenant. He also has extensive experience with insurance defense including mass tort and products liability involving pharmaceutical and Class I, II, and III medical devices. Additionally, Mr. Hawthorne has handled TCPA class actions, and cases involving aviation, probate litigation and eminent domain defense. Prior to joining Pathman Law, LLC, Mr. Hawthorne worked at Am Law 100 law firms for over 20 years, and he has been practicing for almost 30 years. He provides litigation representation to both plaintiffs and defendants, and has first chair trial and arbitration experience representing Fortune 500 companies, as well as sole proprietorships and individuals. He has also taught numerous seminars on landlord/tenant and construction litigation. Mr. Hawthorne’s approach to litigation is a balance between aggressive and pragmatic, always focusing on obtaining the best result in an efficient manner.
