Lisa A. Gomez is a partner at Nanos, Gomez & Vekiarelis, P.C. She joined the firm in 2017. She received her Associate's Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Old Westbury and her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law. While enrolled at Hofstra University School of Law, she participated in the Youth Advocacy Clinic, assisting clients in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and family law issues. In 2015, she was rewarded the Jonathan Roppolo Memorial Award due to her outstanding work the year she participated at the clinic. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2001, all while actively working as a San Jose police officer. Jaime brings forward his law enforcement expertise to family law. He is a former San Jose Police sergeant, detective, and training officer who has worked all types of criminal cases, including murder, mayhem, robbery, rape, kidnap, and other major crimes. Raed Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico. He earned his B.A. (Cum Laude, 1992) and J.D. (Cum Laude, 1996) from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, where he was also associate editor of the law review. As part of his JD, in 1995 he studied comparative constitutional law at the University of Barcelona (Spain) taught by Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. He received his L.L.M. in Health Law from the University of Houston Law Center (1998). Mr. Gonzalez is a senior litigator at Gonzalez Olivieri LLC. Previously he was the head of litigation at Quan, Burdette and Perez and a Senior Associate Litigator at FosterQuan where he gained considerable litigation experience. He handles immigration hearings all over the U.S. including Puerto Rico, as well as in the federal district and appellate courts. Mr. Gonzalez is admitted to the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th and 9th and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Southern District of Texas, the Supreme Court of Texas, the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
