Jordan Holmes is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. She earned the highest grade in seven classes, including Evidence, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedure. Jordan has dedicated her entire career to criminal defense. As a public defender, she handled thousands of cases and tried 50, ranging from misdemeanor domestic battery to serious felonies like attempted murder. Jordan is board certified in Criminal Trial Law by the Florida Bar. She is known for fighting tirelessly for her clients in every case she handles. While working as a public defender, Jordan saw how case outcomes could largely depend on which attorney was assigned to the case. Ronald L. Holmes is the Firm’s founder and leads the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Holmes has been practicing law for more than thirty years, primarily in the field of commercial real estate law, although he has also served as lead counsel on numerous civil litigation matters in both State and Federal Courts and has served as outside general counsel to many companies on a broad range of corporate and employment law matters. His real estate law practice is as broad as it is deep. Mr. Holmes has served as lead counsel on real estate transactions all across the United States (more than twenty States), representing public and private companies, both domestic and international, in all manner of real estate transactions, including large scale multi-use land developments and high rise residential condominiums, to acquisitions and sales of operating property portfolios, office, industrial and retail leasing and virtually every other form of real estate development, construction, financing, investing and leasing.

Bryce formed Lakes National Law in July of 2020. Prior to starting the firm, Bryce began his legal career at Iowa’s largest law firm, serving the North Central Lakes region of Iowa Legal Aid as a Staff Attorney. At Iowa Legal Aid, Bryce represented low-income clients in pro-bono cases primarily in municipal, real-estate, and family law. Recognizing a lack of access to legal services in rural areas of North Iowa, Southern Minnesota, and beyond- along with a fast emergence of remote practice amongst private attorneys, Bryce started Lakes National Law in order to provide a network of experienced attorneys to those who otherwise could not access the capabilities of a traditional downtown law firm. Prior to law school, Bryce started a title company with a local law firm in the twin-cities and continues to serve as their Chief Counsel. With ten years of title experience prior to becoming an attorney, his extensive practical real estate and business knowledge offers a wide array of insight to legal issues facing his clients on a daily basis- not just in the courtroom. Bryce received his BA from the University of Minnesota; and JD, Cum Laude, from Michigan State University College of Law.

Betsy Holton has been practicing law over 20 years. Ms. Holton has extensive legal experience and has trained on several Estate Planning platforms. Her strong commitment of community involvement has included serving as a member of the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations and an unwavering commitment to various charities and other groups. Ms. Holton cares about the people she represents, whether working for the benefit of young single individuals or complex asset protection for seasoned families. Her gentle efficient demeanor and ability to understand the dynamics families face in these trying times. As the mother of a special needs daughter, her empathy is exemplified in each endeavor as clients reach their goals. Ms. Holton graduated with a BA in Economics from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and received her JD from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Holton is a member of the American Bar Association, The National Bar Association, The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is admitted to the State Bar of Florida, The Middle District of Florida and the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. Richard (Dick) Holz concentrates his practice in business organizations, including partnerships and limited liability companies; estate planning, taxation, business succession planning, and trust and estate administration. He is a frequent lecturer on joint ventures, federal taxation, and estate planning topics. Dick has been engaged by clients to handle a variety of complex business and joint venture organizations, acquisitions and dispositions, including the formation of numerous significant commercial real estate developments, the purchase and sale of businesses and the contribution of properties to real estate investment trusts. Dick has also been engaged by clients to coordinate the planning and administration of estates, ranging from multi-million dollar estates to more moderately sized estates, often involving substantial closely held businesses and varying family dynamics. Dick graduated from Ohio Northern University with honors in 1982 earning his Bachelor of Science degree. In 1985, he received his juris doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
