Mitchell works exclusively in the area of family law. He has significant experience dealing with both parenting-related and financial litigation. Mitchell approaches his cases with the goal of problem solving through the understanding that each client has a unique set of circumstances. Mitchell works closely with his clients throughout the legal process to find reasonable and practical solutions. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Gordon has expertise conducting settlement conferences, drafting marital settlement agreements, parenting agreements, and pre and post-nuptial agreements. Furthermore, he is a skilled appellate advocate, having litigated numerous family law cases at the Appellate Court level. In 2012, Mitchell’s book, Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements, was published by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) and is their most comprehensive authority on the drafting and enforcement of pre and post-nuptial agreements. Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements provides practical instruction on negotiating the best terms for clients, implications of estate planning and tax law, and ethical considerations. He earned his B.A. from the University of Iowa before attending Chicago-Kent School of Law, where he earned his J.D.

Peta-Gay Gordon, Esq. received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she was the Development Editor for the Southern California Review of Law and Women’s Studies, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a dual major in Psychology and International Relations from Claremont McKenna College. Ms. Gordon was admitted to the California State Bar in December 2005 and joined the Trusts & Estates firm, Oldman, Cooley, Sallus, Birnberg, Coleman & Gold, L.L.P., in February 2006 -- becoming a partner in 2013. Ms. Gordon currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles for which she serves as a mentor.
