Miriam Marenco is a Lead Associate at the Law Offices of Patrick L. Cordero, P.A. She is the head bankruptcy attorney over-seeing bankruptcy cases filed by our Firm. Ms. Marenco focuses primarily in the representation of debtors in chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.

Area of Practice: Municipal Law Vincent Marino presently represents the towns of Orange and Bethany and is special land use counsel in the towns of Seymour, Beacon Falls, and Monroe. He represents the Water Pollution Control Authorities in the towns of Orange and Stratford. He also represents the Orange Board of Education. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in America (2018-2023) for his work in Municipal Law. In his land use and zoning practice, Vincent often appears before planning and zoning commissions, inland wetlands commissions, zoning boards of appeals, and other administrative agencies. He represents property owners, neighborhood groups, and municipalities in administrative appeals and zoning and wetlands enforcement proceedings. Vincent also practices in state and federal court representing individuals and businesses in commercial litigation, construction litigation and bankruptcy matters.

Attorney Alex Mario, daughter of firm founder and president, Carter Mario, was inspired from an early age to continue her family’s legacy of fighting for the injured. Alex has stood alongside her father and the Carter Mario Law Firm from the age of fifteen, in the firm’s commercials, billboards, buses, and social media platforms and encouraged Connecticut’s injured to “Get Carter!” Born and raised in Connecticut, Alex’s competitive drive and fighting spirit led her to attend high school at the prestigious International Management Group (IMG) Sports Academy, in Bradenton, Fl. in their soccer program. From there it was a natural choice to follow her parents’ footsteps and attend college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Alex double majored in Journalism and Mass Communication & Spanish Literature and Language. During college, Alex spent a year abroad in Seville, Spain, where she lived with a Spanish family and was completely immersed in the local culture. Upon graduation from college, Alex worked for four years at Time Warner Cable Corporate in NYC in various roles from executive assistant to the President of Residential Operations, a Marketing Analyst, as well as Analyst of Operational Effectiveness. During this time, she was elected to be a member of Time Warner Cable’s Aspiring Leadership Organization. Working with people and solving disputes on a corporate level made Alex realize her desire to return to the family law business and help those that needed a fighter in their corner. She obtained her JD from Fordham University School of Law, where she earned a spot on their Trial Advocacy team, one of the top programs in the country. While earning her JD, Alex also received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award – an award given for providing over 100 hours of pro bono and community work for Fordham Law’s Mediation Clinic at the small claims court in Manhattan. When Alex isn’t fiercely advocating for her clients, she is busy with her family, especially keeping up with her young sons Kees and Karson. Once an avid movie buff, she now has become a connoisseur of children’s television shows, and knows most of Coco Melon by heart! She still makes time to enjoy a good travel or cooking show on the weekends, listen to some jazz or Andrea Bocelli and when able, enjoys skiing and watching soccer.
