Marie has been an attorney for over twenty-five years and has experience handling complex cases, including employment discrimination, civil rights, mass tort matters, personal injury, medical malpractice litigation, and pharmaceutical litigation. Marie earned her J.D. from St. John’s University Law School, her L.L.M. degree from New York University (NYU) School of Law and is currently an Environmental Law LLM candidate 2023 at Lewis and Clark Law School. She has worked for the New York Appellate Division, 2nd Department and has taught CLE courses on Tort and Civil Procedure at St. John’s University School of Law. As a founding partner, Marie plays an integral role in achieving the multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements in the firm’s many practice areas, including the $1.3+ billion settlement in the New York Opioid Jury Trial, the jury verdict for plaintiffs in the Ohio Opioid Trial (the federal bellwether trial against national pharmacy chains),the $640 million Flint Water Crisis agreement, and the $1 billion settlement in the World Trade Center litigation. The firm continues to be at the forefront of national and noteworthy legal cases, including those involving anti-trust generic drug litigation, Aqueous Film-Forming Foam water contamination cases, where a $1.185B agreement with Dupont, Chemours, and Corteva was recently announced, and civil rights matters. For her legal achievements, Marie has been recognized by her peers and the legal industry, consistently being named to New York Super Lawyers®, Best Attorneys of America and to The National Trial Lawyers for Women’s Rights – Top 10 list to name only a few. Mr. Nascimento has spent his entire career as a criminal defense attorney, defending individuals and corporations in high-stakes federal and state criminal matters, including investigations by the FBI, DEA, Health and Human Services (HHS)/Office of Inspector General, IRS, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Postal Inspector. Most recently, Mr. Nascimento’s practice has focused on medical providers, laboratory executives, marketing companies, durable medical equipment suppliers and business owners subjected to federal healthcare/Medicare fraud investigations in jurisdictions around the country. Mr. Nascimento has handled cases involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Money Laundering, Bribery, Drug Trafficking, RICO, Healthcare Fraud, Wire Fraud, Asset Forfeitures and the representation of victim corporations/individuals in attempts to collect restitution. He has tried cases at all levels, from minor offenses, to those with potential life punishments and the death penalty, and has been educated by some of the leading experts in the world on DNA comparison and issues surrounding transfer and contamination, facial recognition and issues surrounding eyewitness memory and facial comparison. Mr. Nascimento has also successfully handled state and federal appeals that have saved his clients many years in prison. Joe grew up in South Florida and got his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida. After UF, Mr. Nascimento went on to attend the University of Miami School of Law as a Dean’s Merit scholar, where he graduated, cum laude, with a Juris Doctor. Mr. Nascimento is an adjunct professor teaching the University of Miami School of Law’s Criminal Litigation Skills I and Advanced Criminal Litigation Skills II courses, part of the school’s nationally acclaimed litigation skills program.. Immediately out of law school, Joe joined Robbins Tunkey Ross Amsel Raben & Waxman, P.A., one of the largest and highly reputed criminal defense firms in the country. After many years with RTR, Mr. Nascimento became one of the founding members of the reorganized firm of Ross Amsel Raben Nascimento, PLLC.

Paul graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and was on the Dean’s List. He graduated from the Golden Gate University School of Law and also attended Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, WY. Paul has experience as a trial lawyer, which helps him to better represent exclusively women in divorce, custody and support matters as well as when representing the injured. Paul H. Nathan fights for the rights of women, to help them receive the results they deserve regarding child and spousal support and child custody, in addition to a variety of other aspects regarding the ending of a marriage. Paul just finished writing a book called What Every Woman in California Should Know About Divorce. Paul serves as the legal counsel for the Neigh Savers Foundation, a non-profit foundation that rescues race horses that would otherwise be sent to slaughter and seeks to give those horses a new beginning.
