M. Kent Olsen specializes in estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, advanced medical directives, individuals with disabilities, and elder law. Mr. Olsen is a member of the Colorado, Denver and American Bar Associations, as well as the Denver Estate Planning Council. As a long-term member of the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association, Mr. Olsen previously served as Chair of the Section, Chair of the Rules and Forms Committee, Column Editor for The Colorado Lawyer - Estate and Trust Forum, and Co-Chair of the Protective Proceedings Act Subcommittee; at this time, Mr. Olsen continues as a member of the Statutory Revisions Committee. Mr. Olsen was an appointed member of the Governor's Commission on Life and the Law. In addition to being a former instructor for paralegals and a member of the advisory board of Denver Career College, Mr. Olsen is a frequent author and lecturer on probate, estate litigation, disabilities planning, health care treatment, protective proceedings, legal ethics, and issues on aging. Mr. Olsen is President and a founding member of the Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities, Inc., a pooled Medicaid trust; a past President of Advocacy Denver, an advocacy organization for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities; and a Board member of Arc of Colorado.

Area of Practice: Civil Sexual Abuse Litigation Kayla Ferrel joined OnderLaw in 2014; but before joining the firm, she was known nationally for competing in the television series, America’s Next Top Model, where she was then invited back as a fan favorite to the Reunion Series. She became well known for sharing her survivor’s story with the world. Impassioned with a desire to make a difference, Kayla returned to law school, passed the Bar exam, and is now empowered to help the victims of sexual abuse. As with survivors, we are better in numbers. Appreciating that reality, Kayla has spent over a decade forging national relationships and has solidified partnerships with Sex Abuse litigators across the country. With these partnerships, the OnderLaw team has represented survivors of sexual abuse across the country, holding abusers and enabling institutions legally accountable and delivering nearly one billion dollars in recovery. Kayla currently leads the firm’s Sexual Abuse practice, advocating on behalf of survivors across the country. Teaming with both survivors that are ready to be vocal advocates, as well as those who need their stories to remain highly confidential, Kayla is truly a confidant to all. Patricia A. O’Neil has been practicing law in CT since 1985. With more than 33 years of legal experience, she has helped hundreds of people with family law issues including divorce, custody, visitation, child support, property settlements, alimony, etc. Skillful and effective in the courtroom, she is responsive and available to her clients. If an issue cannot be settled amicably, Patricia is always fully prepared to fight for her clients in court. Attorney O’Neil is a member of the American Bar Association, the CT Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the CT Trial Lawyers Association, and the Hartford County Bar Association. Attorney O'Neil graduated from Catholic University in 1982 with a BA in political science and in 1985 from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law with her juris doctor degree. She volunteers her time as a Special Master in the Middletown Family Court and with Statewide Legal Services and CT Women's & Legal Fund pro bono matters.
