Elizabeth Ann Shine is an experienced municipal attorney who received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University and her Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University College of Law. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Home Rule Attorney’s Committee of the Illinois Municipal League, the Illinois Local Government Lawyers Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Liz served in the Municipal Prosecutions Division with the City of Chicago’s Department of Law, and with the office of a commissioner of the Cook County Board of Review. Her responsibilities with the Board of Review included representing the Board at appeal hearings and settlement conferences, as well as before the State Property Tax Appeal Board. Liz devotes her practice to municipal, township, and property tax law. Lara Shiner has been with Shiner Law Group, P.A. since its inception and takes pleasure in seeing all of the people this firm has been able to help throughout the years.
