Adam Lowell Shapiro was born in Utopia, NY, son of Harvey Shapiro, a Sony Music Senior Executive of over 40 years and Madeleine Shapiro, a teacher. He graduated from Jamaica High School in 1986 with Honors, a Presidential Award of Excellence and a Regents Scholarship. In 1990, he graduated from The State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, having a double minor in Philosophy and Criminal Justice. Thereafter, he attended the University of Miami School of Law graduating in 1993, obtaining the degree of Juris Doctorate. While a student he was employed as a law clerk by the Law Offices of Shrier & Koenigsberg of Miami, Florida. He also worked at the Dade County Public Defenders Office as a Certified Legal Intern where he began attending hearings, taking depositions and trying cases all before graduating. He is presently a member in good standing of the bars of the States of New York and Florida; United States Supreme Court; United States District Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York; United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle & Northern Districts of Florida; Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; the New York State Bar Association; American Bar Association and Strathmore’s Who’s Who. At both offices he practiced both national and international insurance and aviation litigation representing such institutional clients as Harley Davidson, Lloyd’s of London, Ford Motor Credit, Bank of America, and National Alliance Brokerage Services, US Capitol Insurance Company, Eurobank, Interboro Insurance Company, Legion Insurance Company and their insured’s. As such, Mr. Shapiro handled all aspects of insurance and corporate litigation includ ing, but not limited to drafting policies, reviewing policies, litigating and/or arbitrating policy disputes, defending insured’s, protecting carrier’s interests, protecting corporate interests, subrogation actions and coverage matters. Having successfully handled such matters resulted in several of the aforesaid clients placing their business directly with Mr. Shapiro when he returned to New York in 1997. Bryan C. Shartle is one of the two managing partners of the Firm and assists in the management of the Firm’s 10 offices. Bryan specializes in representing collection agencies, debt buyers, student loan servicers, banks, credit issuers, financial institutions, and telemarketers. He has extensive experience in consumer litigation, including claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the myriad of state consumer laws. He has been the lead attorney in several landmark decisions involving the collection industry. Due to his expertise and trial experience, Bryan has been retained by clients to handle consumer cases and arbitrations throughout the United States. He is also approved counsel for several large insurance companies. Following his 2001 graduation from Paul M.
