Amanda not only provides skilled legal counsel to her clients, but compassion and support when they need it most. Since her very first days as a law student, Amanda has known that she wanted to pursue a career as a trial lawyer. With this goal in mind, she worked harder than ever and graduated a semester early from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Little did she know that she would one day change countless lives by recovering much-needed compensation for accident victims throughout the Palmetto State. While still at school, she participated in mock trials competitions nationwide, honing her skills in the courtroom. Today, she gives back by mentoring promising students for the USC School of Law Mock Trial Bar and undergraduate mock trial team. During law school, Amanda also worked for the South Carolina Bar, offering law-related classes to both schoolchildren and teachers. The next generation continues to benefit from Amanda’s knowledge and experience as she serves as a committee member to the South Carolina Bar Law Related Education Committee. The competitive spirit and determination Amanda displays in the courtroom emerged long before law school, though. In fact, they can likely be traced back to her childhood, when she competed internationally on the equestrian circuit – and won two national gold medals in dressage! Today, Amanda wins on behalf of her clients, offering legal representation that’s truly second to none – right here at home in the Lowcountry. Robert Stearns was born in Trenton, Michigan and grew up in the Greater Detroit Area. He attended Wayne State University in Detroit, where in his third year, he was the co-Chair of the Law School’s national mock trial team. After graduation, he practiced plaintiff’s personal injury and employment law for several years, before co-founding his own law firm in 2005. Shortly thereafter, he and his law partner opened a second law firm devoted entirely to representing debtors in bankruptcy proceedings. He operated these two successful firms for several years, before moving to San Antonio in 2016. Prior to joining Brock Guerra, Robert worked for one of the largest plaintiff’s personal injury firms in Texas and was involved in multiple multi-million dollar cases

Anna spent 15 years working as Ron’s paralegal before leaving to attend Campbell University School of Law, where she graduated with honors in 2018. While in Raleigh, Anna served as Legislative Assistant for Representative Brian Turner in the General Assembly and as General Counsel and Chief of Staff to Chief Justice Cheri Beasley of the North Carolina Supreme Court. In 2021, she returned home to the mountains to practice in the firm where her legal career began more than twenty years ago. Anna serves on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Pro-Bono Committee and is a member of the N.C. Bar Association, N.C. Advocates for Justice, N.C. Association of Women Attorneys, and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Swannanoa Valley.
