Robert A. Shipley is the founding partner of Shipley Law Group, Ltd. For 37 years he has maintained long-standing client relationships while engaged in an active litigation and trial practice, along with general business counseling. A trusted advisor and counselor to business owners and principals, Mr. Shipley is a recognized problem solver and solution provider. He has hands on involvement with clients representing businesses, construction and design professionals, insurers and individuals in complex business, construction, construction defect, insurance, professional liability and tort claims and disputes. An experienced trial attorney, Certified Mediator and appellate advocate, Mr. Shipley has in excess of 100 cases to verdict in addition to numerous Arbitrations and Mediations.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Gary attended Campbell University School of Law and then charged into practice at a Wilmington firm at the age of 24. Two years later, he founded his own firm. Since then, Gary has traveled not just across North Carolina, but the nation, to argue and try cases that are often complex and highly consequential. With more than 100 jury verdicts behind him, Gary has cultivated a strong courtroom presence and a national reputation as a dogged advocate. He has handled an extremely wide variety of cases, including catastrophic personal injury, complex commercial litigation, professional negligence and regional and national class actions involving defective products and consumer fraud.

With more than 20 years of practice, Sean Shirley regularly represents clients in complex personal injury, property damage, toxic tort, product liability, and wrongful death cases including, but not limited to, electrical systems, gas pipeline systems and their components, child restraint systems, construction materials and HVAC products, among others. Sean has first-chair jury trial experience and has tried multiple jury trials to verdict.

Al Shiyou, founder and principal of Shiyou Law Firm, is also a native of Pinola, Mississippi. He received his A.A. degree from Copiah Lincoln Junior College, his B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. While attending law school, Al served as a probation officer in Hinds County, as an agent for the Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control, and he also worked with Nationwide Insurance Company as an agent. After his graduation, he was the manager of the Trust Department for Trustmark National Bank in Hattiesburg for five years before opening his own law firm. Since 1987, Al has been engaged in the general practice of law in Hattiesburg and Shiyou Law Firm. Al is a member of the Mississippi State Bar and is admitted in all State and Federal courts in Mississippi, the U. S. Supreme Court, and the U. S. Tax Court. He has also successfully presented a number of cases to our Court of Appeals and to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Ms. Shkolnik is an associate with the firm’s Product Liability, Pharmaceutical Department. Prior to joining the Pharmaceutical Department, she focused on premise liability, products liability, labor law, intentional torts as well as civil suits involving victims of sexual assault and/or battery.
