As a mid-career JD recipient, an award-winning student trial advocate from the Syracuse University College of Law, specializing in Intellectual Property Law, and a member of the prestigious national society – The Order of Barristers – I have developed a profound understanding of the legal intricacies in this field. My academic journey, including a Master of Studies in Law from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Northeastern University, has equipped me with a unique perspective on the intersection of law, business, and innovation. In my previous role as the head of a multi-million-dollar education management organization, I honed my skills in governance, oversight, financial management, and public relations. These experiences have not only sharpened my business acumen but also my ability to analyze complex situations, negotiate effectively, and drive performance improvements. My involvement in various boards, including at SABIS Holding – which owns a wide array of intellectual property and proprietary systems in the K-12 education sector – directly aligns with my passion for protecting and managing intellectual assets. My global experiences and multicultural understanding, enhanced by my proficiency in languages like French, Spanish, and Arabic, allow me to approach intellectual property issues with a unique international perspective. This is particularly relevant in today’s interconnected world, where legal considerations often transcend national boundaries. Salim F. Sabbagh is a founding partner of Sabbagh Thapar, LLC. Salim’s practice is focused solely on representing the injured. He is a complete business attorney with in-depth experience in and knowledge of United States and international tax aspects of structuring transactions for most forms of business entities and many types of business transactions, business succession and estate tax planning, senior executive contracts and compensation packages, equity and separation packages and commercial litigation. Mr. Sabourin brings to his clients more than 35 years of experience. He has significant large-firm training and experience working for many years in two major firms, Carney, Smith, Badley & Spellman, P.C. of Seattle, Washington and Hannoch Weisman, P.C. of New Jersey, where he was a member of both the tax and litigation departments. Mr. Sabourin has a master's degree in tax from the University of Florida, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Law School and earned his B.A. from the University of Vermont.

Scott Sachs represents private and governmental entities in complex litigation in the areas of data privacy and security issues, construction and environmental law. Mr. Sachs helps clients procure equipment, set up safety protocols, negotiate circuit contracts and provide e-rate bids, Internet service and hosted data to various entities. He has assisted clients with identifying, searching and forensically preserving Terabytes of data. He has worked with third party vendors and Internet Service Providers to identify account holders and preserve and obtain evidence. Mr. Sachs also assists clients with data retention policies, hacking, spoofing, take down notices, data theft, security and breach notification. Mr. Sachs counsels clients on technology-based effluent limitations, water quality standards, national pollution discharge elimination system (“NPDES”) permits, nonpoint source pollution and total maximum daily loads, discharges of dredged or fill materials, and hazardous substance spills. He assists clients with remediation goals, site clearance, and all other contamination concerns. Mr. Sachs has helped a large school district client purchase pollution legal liability insurance, and is currently overseeing hazardous substances compliance on over 90 of its properties. Additionally he reviews reports going to lead agencies, supervises and coordinates consultant work-product, and manages environmental clean-up cases. Mr. Sachs also advises Internet Service providers and corporations on data security and privacy issues including technology contracts. Mr. Sachs began his legal career as a clerk at the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the Michigan Attorney General’s Natural Resources Division.
