Sue Ann Lewis Armitage grew up in St. Mary's County. She graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), and then from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She has operated her law practice in Lexington Park for thirty-one years. Over the course of her career she has handled a wide variety of cases, including family law, estate planning, insurance defense, worker's compensation, personal injury and business matters. Sue Ann is also a certified mediator. Sue Ann and the practice received the Maryland State Bar Association's Pro Bono Service Award. Only one practice is recognized each year from the entire state in the small firm category. Sue Ann was named by The Daily Record as one of the Top 100 Women in Maryland in 2023. This award recognized women of achievement in business, law, public affairs, and the arts. She was designated a Leader in Law in 2022 in recognition of her success as an attorney and business owner in St. Mary’s County. She was also one of only twenty-five lawyers named to the Power List of Family Law Attorneys. She has served on the Boards of Directors for St. Mary's Ryken High School, the St. Mary's County Bar Association, the St. Mary's County Juvenile Drug Court Program, and Bay Montessori School.

Jackie Armstrong graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1987. She brought with her, pre-lawschool training in municipal law and lobbying from the Texas Municipal League. Also, as an investigator working with the Texas Attorney General and U.S. Dept. Of Justice, she learned how to build evidentiary cases unassailable by the most sophisticated defendants and their attorneys. After years associated with top rated trial firms, Ms. Armstrong opened her employment civil rights practice in January, 1991. She effectively communicates her earnest belief in her clients’ causes to jurors, judges and arbitrators. Defending clients against overly broad non-compete agreements is a sub-specialty. He has published several articles in the area of Elder Law, Probate and Estate Planning and has spoken to many groups on these subjects. Mr. Armstrong is a former Marine Vietnam veteran. Prior to the law firm, Mr. Armstrong was a senior level executive in the healthcare industry. This experience was entrepreneurial, involving business start-up, funding, management and acquisition of several medical manufacturing/distribution companies. Before this, Mr. Armstrong was employed in management by some of the largest healthcare companies in the country.
